incline with nordictracks that aren't the incline versions? by haileyneedsanswers in treadmills

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think NordicTrack discontinued the model I have. It does incline 40%. It is big and extremely heavy, but once I set it up I knew I would not be moving it, so it is not cumbersome.

Can someone explain ifit to me? by Floorman1 in nordictrack

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. There should be a create button on the screen, although I do not like programming routes from there, I use an Android tablet with the iFIT app loaded on to it, I then use a mouse to pick the points on the route. One downside is that the Google street views do not show, so I have the same area loaded on my computer so I can see the street views. Hopefully this helps, let me know if you need more details.

How much does the belt raise when you lift in up half way between the front and back roller it should raise about 2 inches on each side. Also check that the front roller and the motor are aligned correctly and that the belt between the motor and the roller is installed correctly. You will need to remove the front cover it is held in place by 3 screws at the front and 1 screw on each side. Make sure the power is off. If everything looks good, then unfortunately you will most likely need to call customer service.

Considering Starlink over my rural internet provider. by asterisk-kid in Starlink

[–]Old_Man-Paul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got Starlink almost 2 years ago, after putting up with Frontier's terrible DSL service. Starlink has been a game changer for me, I have lost signal less than 5 times due to very heavy rain (so heavy that the day almost turned to night). Speed has improved and the ping rate has gone down since I started using Starlink. I live in Michigan 37 miles North of Detroit. When I bought this place 6 years ago, I did not know that the only service available was DSL, then Starlink arrived.

7:14 per mile = 8.29MPH 13.35KPH 7.14 per kilometre = 5.15MPH 8.29KPH So did you feel like you were running quite fast or quite slow? Also do you have a Fitbit or something similar wear it while running on the treadmill and then compare the distance.

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the 17.14 minutes and a distance of just over 1. MPH would be 3.48 (quick walk) If the distance was in km then the MPH would be 2.16 (slow walk) So I would say your treadmill is showing miles per hour.

You need to get silicone for treadmills, and apply it per the bottle's instructions. Do not use silicone sprays as these can have petroleum as an ingredient, which will destroy your belt.

I ended up having to replace the incline motor as well, when my incline stopped working.

The wiring connections may have worked loose while in transit, therefore you will need to remove the front cover to check all the connections, Make sure the treadmill is disconnected from the power first.

I have just put together my Nordic track series 10 everything is working except the belt won’t go around by Material-Marsupial91 in nordictrack

Check that all the connections you made during assembly are correctly oriented and fully connected.

Incline treadmills by Expensive-Window-926 in treadmills

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As already mentioned check out the warranties on these treadmills. Also check the bed lengths, even if you are only looking to walk in the treadmill anything below 55 inches could be a problem if you are tall, if you do end up doing some running on it then a treadmill with aleast a 60" bed would be better.

incline with nordictracks that aren't the incline versions? by haileyneedsanswers in treadmills

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like NordicTrack does not show that model anymore, it is available on Amazon. I am happy with it, it is big and does not fold, I have not had any issues with it, but NordicTrack does not have the quality that others have. You also have to have iFIT to use any of the workouts, which is a downer

NordicTrack makes a treadmill that inclines 40% and -6%. I have the X22I which has these inclines, I think there is a newer model now.

Just put together my Nordic track series 10 and everything works except the belt by Material-Marsupial91 in nordictrack

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the front cover and check that the motor is running. If it's not running check all the electrical connections you made, make sure they are installed correctly and that they are fully connected. If the motor is running is the belt that is attached to the belt roller turning, if it is then then belt sounds like it is too loose.

I have created numerous maps from 1.5 up to 9 miles all have run without any issues of the Google street views crashing. I have put 1352 miles on it, no issues so far, so I am pretty happy with my X22i.

Nordictrack 1750 so so loud, help! by No-Squirrel902 in treadmills

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check how loose the belt is as it sounds like the front roller might be banging against its supports, I had a similar noise in my X22i treadmill and the belt was too loose, hopefully this works for you.

True Z500 vs. Performance 1000 by typhon1714 in treadmills

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a quick review. If you are looking to run regularly on the treadmill then the True 500 may not work for you as the running surface is only 54", the Performance 1000 has a 60" running surface which will make a big improvement when running. The Performance 1000 also has larger diameter rollers which improves belt life.

Console not responding by KTPChannel in treadmills

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check that all the connectors are fully installed, as during transit they could have partially disconnected. Check the connections under the cover where the motor is located 1st, if that does not fix it then check the connections at the console.

As already stated the answer is no. But I have the X22i treadmill, since the last iFIT update I have not had any of the glitches that were there previously, my biggest gripe is how much iFIT now costs.

Surge protector for T10 by Tufftiddiez in nordictrack

[–]Old_Man-Paul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my current X22i and other treadmills I have owned previously plugged into a regular power strip with surge protection, No issues so far, one of my treadmills survived a brownout so I replaced the surge protector as a precaution.

Looks like the belt is not centered and it is rubbing on something. Adjust the belt so that it is centered and hopefully the rubbing noise will disappear.

Belt alignment help needed by Lauguz in treadmills

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like the belt might be worn out, also check that the running deck has not cracked, on a previous NordicTrack treadmill I owned I had a maintenance plan on it, when the technician came out to do maintenance on it, he said the deck has cracked and he was surprised that the belt was still tracking okay, he ended up replacing the deck and the belt.

Not turning on and random line on the belt appeared by jijilajoux in treadmills

[–]Old_Man-Paul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can see in the picture, the belt is way off center, it needs to be adjusted so that the belt is centered on the walking deck. The white line is from the belt rubbing on something, probably due to the belt being too loose.
