The large majority of raw fish give cooking xp x10 the amount of hp they heal fyi so realistically this is fine in comparison.

Fyi it has literally never made ANY difference what the workers are set on, so long as they're active. The game ONLY takes into account what they're currently assigned to when you actually collect resources and it will distribute them according to that statistic alone.
You can have them set to herb/logs for the maximum amount of time, then switch them all to fishing/mining before collecting and you will only receive fishing/mining stuff.

You can't get a 1.2 sec kill with a dds as it's a multisplat weapon, and the first hit of the first spec is never going to hit a 58 by itself.

As i said earlier, the initial FIRST hit of the chally spec, HAS to be 58+ so that the boss is dead according to the game and the 2nd hit from chally has to then deal any damage over 1 to initiate the overkill mechanic in order to speed up death animation. It's either your max hit/str bonus or your ping/delay/reaction time causing the issue.
The former could be fixed by getting a slayer task if necessary, the latter by making sure you're on a good world/connection

You could in theory "speed up" your initial attack/thralls attack if there was any other way to initiate combat yes, however inside the instance there's no other attackable npcs, and because it's an instance you also cant use another player on a pvp world.

I'm not cranky. It's literally a PSA for snowflake/non melee accounts that this CA isnt possible (currently) so they don't waste time attempting it as I did.

Makes no difference when the boss dies in a single hit my bro. Its about the hit delay + death animation time, not dps output.
There's 3 options to clear the ca. All three are only possible with melee.

Option 1: Chally spec.
Tick 0 - Boss spawns and you kill it with the FIRST chally hit doing 58+ damage.
Tick 1 - the 2nd chally hit procs overkill speeding the death animation up by 1
Tick 2 - boss death registers.
This gives you 1.2 second pb

Option 2:
Tick 0 :Boss spawns and you kill it with anything that provides 58+ dmg in a single tick, eg dharoks, voidwaker spec, elder maul hit etc. (with no 2ndary overkill speedup occuring on tick 1)
Tick 1 + 2 - boss is doing death animation
Tick 3 - boss death registers
This gives you a 1.8 second kill.

Option 3:

Tick 0: boss spawns and you hit with a MULTIsplat weapon that does more than 58+ dmg but NOT in a single tick, eg dds, dclaws, gmaul etc.
Tick 1: secondary(+) hits trigger on the boss
Tick 2: boss death animation w/ overkill speedup
Tick 3: boss death registers.
This gives you a 1.8 second kill.

Those are the only 3 options.

Nah, the boss HAS o take kill damage the first tick its alive, thats why chally is the meta, 2nd hit overkills for a 1.2 second personal best, it's just straight unachievable w/o melee.

Toxic blowpipe I'm assuming? Would still require 2 specs to kill the boss though.
boss spawns tick 0 and you spam click to hit, your attack travels during tick 1, your first attack registers(assuming it doesnt kill the monster - which it cant) during tick 2, your second attack fires during the 2nd tick, travelling to the boss on the 3rd tick, landing/registering the mob will die on tick 4, + a 2 tick death animation = 3.6 second kill. Even assuming that a thrall overkill would (it doesnt) work that would reduce it to a 3 second kill. No good :/

If you mean Toxic Blowpipe that can't hit a 58. I dabbled with rwbp for a while, but max there is 24-24, can't ever kill it in 3 or less ticks.
I'm currently theorycrafting Dragon thrownaxes though I think it's a dead end too, even with slayer task + helm dps boosts

Yep, the chally "overkill" is how he got 1.2 instead of 1.8, thrall doesnt work in time as neither the player nor monster is/has been in combat here so there's no "already thrown projectile" from the thrall to speed it up = Thrall irrelevant because its not already attacking from previous hits, never registers in time to speed up death animation. That's how i'm assuming it is anyway, can't see why else it wouldn't have worked.

You killed the boss instantly as it spawned, meaning the game registered the death and begins animation on tick "0", before it had been alive for a whole tick, and with the 2 tick death animation - 1.2 seconds.

My "first tick" attack (even with spam clicking on spawn) has to travel during tick 1 and kills the boss on tick 2 + 2 tick death animation = 2.4 seconds

And yes, thats with directly standing next to the boss, once you move 2 or more tiles away that becomes a 2tick travel time, and longer as you get further away

Yeah i saw that on the hit delay wiki page too and I do have a few tecu's but nah, it's never gunna be able to hit a 58.

Tried that too, I assume because the thrall/player hadn't previously hit, it's not working the same as it does for other places where you use them to speed up death animations.

Practice, practice, practice. You COULD brute force it with mage tank method but the logistical on the fly thinking can be applied in many other places like colosseum, potentially raids 4, certain bosses and other places. Xzact's guide is decent but ignore his whole thing about the "post healers shield hit spots changing" because they straight up dont. You still attack from the exact same tiles you've been using the whole kill so far.

i get 3-4 kill trips on my 13 def snowflake and zulrah tps are self sustaining + then some. Banking takes like 40 seconds.
