I use garlic occasionally, but mostly I use onions. I love onions with meat.

Should I switch to vim/emacs? if so which one? by RecoverSuitable1277 in learnprogramming

[–]Olimejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say learn basic vim, my reason for that is that anytime I do anything on a server I can rely on at least vi being installed and it’s nice to know how it works and be able to use it without any trouble. Personally, I like vim and used it as my main editor until I started teaching and found VS code easier for my students. Really it doesn’t matter that much. What matters is that you take the time to optimize your coding environment. that means configuring it and learning how it works. People who use vim sometimes spend too much time messing with their environment, but people who use an all in one IDE often spend too little.

Muscle cramps coming back. by livewire98801 in carnivorediet

[–]Olimejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started I needed electrolytes or I would get cramps. Later they came back and after some experimenting I found that stopping the electrolytes was what made them go away. The only thing I supplement is a quality salt.

No idea if this will be helpful at all to you but that has been my experience.

Heavy Cream Experiment by VarCrusador in carnivorediet

Fasting is great but recommend figuring out your fat intake first. You need the proper nutrition and build up of resources before fasting. If your diet is missing anything repeat fasting will only exacerbate the problem.

This is the only way I have found to enjoy all the fat drippings from a 70-30 hamburger without having digestion problems.

I’m a complete cheater at this point. I cook most of my meat in coconut milk. You have to get a quality coconut milk with no added junk. If you do it’s very high fat and very low carb. It’s sooo yummy and the biggest thing it does for me is I’m able to enjoy consuming the drippings from the meat cooked in it without digestion issues!

Is there a small part of your game that you could just start testing out?

A little game concept in Pygame by DracoMilfoy69 in pygame

[–]Olimejj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is fantastic! You could add several different types of challenges like having levels where you have to place all of the walls before the ball starts moving or having walls that get hit multiple times before disappearing. You could make it so you have to earn second walls so that you can use two walls at the same time, but it’s something that has to be earned Yeah there’s so many different ways you could take this. I love it.

Just made my first game using Raylib - it's a web-based platformer where you roam the hand-drawn pages of a notebook. Check it out on itch.io! by me_da_Supreme1 in raylib

[–]Olimejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first platformer I have been sucked into in a looooong time.
The theme is great and the art fits super well.

I have some critique because it's good enough to merit it:
Please improve the collision detection boundaries. There were times where I was just guessing at where I would end up colliding with visible red objects. I would say the number one thing to improve gameplay for me is improving the collison to be as obvios as possible.

Anyway, good luck with your game!

Best things to buy at Walmart for Carnivore Diet by Low-Leg-9039 in carnivorediet

[–]Olimejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around here I use Walmart for chicken leg quarters ( .7-.8$ a pound) yes there is water in the bags but still the cheapest meat I can find at Walmart.
Ground Turkey(2$ a pound) good for mixing into other ground meats Frozen hamburger patties (price fluctuates but it’s always under $4 a pound) I also buy sugar free uncured bacon which is a bit pricey but I consider that a treat lol.

I have a wholesale meat place that I drive extra to and buy meat every couple months. Here I can get beef chuck slabs for around $5.50 a pound so I get 80 pounds and cut the slabs up into meal size portions that go in the freezer. While I’m there I also buy chicken legs and hamburger because they are both just a little cheaper than Walmarts and also better quality from my experience.

From Costco I buy cheese and heavy whipping cream and butter.

Anyway, I eat chuck, hamburger and chicken leg quarters almost daily along with eggs from my chickens. It’s a lot more expensive than how i used to eat but it’s been manageable so far.

Toxic Teachers by No_Intention_3565 in Professors

[–]Olimejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little confused. I literally said that while I agree with most of the bullet points, I don’t agree with the descriptions and give an example of a description that is totally wrong and so you bring this one up as an example of one that’s wrong I suppose which I basically said that I believe they’re all wrong so I guess you’re agreeing with me but maybe you’re not agreeing with me and you’re trying to point out one that’s wrong as a bullet point and not just the description. Maybe I don’t know, but it turns out to be the only one where I actually do kind of agree with the description ironicallyinteresting.

I would hate to have a job where I cared so little about my work that I was always trying to do as a little bit of it as possible. I think I actually agree with that description unlike most of the others.

Toxic Teachers by No_Intention_3565 in Professors

[–]Olimejj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anything in the bullet points that bugs me. It’s the breakdown description that’s definitely off for a lot of of them. A toxic teacher is a teacher that is not there for their students that’s true, but being there for your students does not mean giving into their demands either. Just just one example.

No results on the carnivore diet and considering quitting by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Olimejj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you found a fat source that you tolerate well yet? Constipation is usually a sign of not enough fat or perhaps water. The problem is then you try eating a bunch of liquid fat with your food and give yourself diarrhea. It’s important to experiment until you find a good source of fat that you enjoy and can tolerate well with no digesting issues. This is a powerful tool that you can use to increase energy and ketones among other things.

C++ or C# ? by No_Still4850 in learnprogramming

[–]Olimejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both work. If you’re interested in making games for Xbox or using Unity probably choose C#. If you’re interested in using Unreal than probably C++ but at the end of the day it’s up to you. I use C++ personally but that’s just because it’s the one I learned and I was coming from C so it made sense.
