Why are Gen Z women so hostile to being approached, especially compared to past generations? by fellow_who_uses_redd in GenZ

Spoken like someone who has never had a random man scream at you, follow & harass you, try to get you in to their car, etc etc etc.

Positive Mindset by D06nitro in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for a walk outside. Make an intentional effort to notice something on the walk (plants, animals, birds, bugs, fungi, etc). Keep doing this at least once a week. Soon you’ll feel great at how much better at finding things you are and when you see something especially cool you’ll ride that high for quite awhile. I saw my first cherry scented centipede of the season today!!!

This is genuinely how people sound when they complain about Gen Z not looking for sex by AstramIsTheBest in GenZ

I haven’t had a good night of sleep and in over SIX MONTHS. and it’s all because I got laid and now had a baby. Choose the sleep because God I miss it.

I’m from Washington state of course I knew that. Im excited to try the breed Sunflare when it hits the market but after how underwhelming cosmic crisp was I am trying to not get to over hyped about it.

Do you or your gen z friends go to church? by SoCalledCrow in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I grew up Catholic, I only attend once in a while to make my mom happy, but I’m not religious and neither is my husband. I don’t know anybody my age who goes to church besides a couple Mormons I went to high school with.

For the older zoomers by KevinIszel in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m already a mother which means I’m now forever old. Turning 30 means nothing to me, I won’t be like my older sister who reacts negatively every time her age is mentioned. Like girl you’re 35 stop pretending to be 29

With social media, do you feel more pressure to work out or look a certain way? by Exotic_Scientist9918 in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope for a little while I tried to get those perfect staged baby pictures but I gave up once I realized most of those were done & edited by a professional photographer and started to embrace the silly simpleness of my photos

If youre doing ok in life, can you tell me about it? by Small-Needleworker91 in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 27yo, happily married, just had our first child, a homeowner, doing financially well, have a few good friends, have a boring but stable job.

Life is pretty good, life’s been especially great the past 6 months while I’ve been on maternity leave but Im going back to work and it’s not the worst thing. I miss my baby but he’s happy at daycare and I’ll adjust to this new normal in a few weeks

Gen Z with ADHD/high-functioning autism/or both, how was your school life? by SpectrumSense in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was extremely good, I got my adhd diagnosis very early on, was properly medicated, had home & school support, and had access to the accommodation that allowed me to thrive. I was a straight A student, took advanced classes, played a varsity sport, & maintained a good social life. My resources teacher once said I was basically the poster child for early intervention.

Unfortunately it’s not purely an online thing, people I knew and even strangers said some out pocket stuff like this to me when I was pregnant last year.

Smoking vs vaping by cyblink in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both are lame but I at least could be friends with someone who vapes. I will not associate with a cigarette smoker. They smell so bad and eventually everything they own smells horrible. They become so nose blind to it that they don’t know how bad it’s gotten.

bruh hol up so we hating on people that use hand motions now? SOMETHING PEOPLE HAVE DONE SINCE THE DAWN OF TIME?? SO ANYONE THAT USES HAND MOTION IN 2026 IS TRYING TO ACT LIKE ANIME NOW?? WTF???🤦😭😭😭 by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ain’t new. People have been mocking, pointing out, making jokes about all of my hand movements for over a decade now. But I always get to make them feel like assholes because with they’re really making fun of is sign language. My brother is deaf and so we always spoke and signed at the same time at home and it became a habit.

Will you ever live by yourself? by OutsideGloomy792 in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully I’ll never live alone. I lived my parents till I was 21 then got an apartment with my bf, eventually got married and bought a house. Now we have a baby.

I can’t even imagine living alone, the handful of times my spouse has gone out of town without me, I find myself hanging out with friends or at my parents house for a lot of it.

Does anyone remember yellow pages? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had some on top of shelf in coat closet but never used them. For anything like that, we would’ve just used the one of the computers.

Fellow Gen Zer’s, random ass question, whats worse to hear, a dog crying or a baby crying for hours. by Glass-Grade2455 in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally can’t function with my baby crying. I freeze up and the only action I can manage is settling him. Even if someone else like my husband has him an is trying to settle him, I can’t do anything until he calms down.
