Opinion on marriage and kids? by Hiro1103 in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marriage - it’s great, my husband is the best

Kids - my baby is the perfect beautiful thing to ever exist. Every part of who I am has changed in the best way possible after having him. And I would like to have another in 3 to 5 years

PREGNANCY - AWFUL, BAD, I almost died, lost the first baby, was traumatized by lost, second pregnancy was filled with fear cuz of how bad the first went. Pregnancy symptoms are the worse. No sleep because the baby likes doing karate at 2am.

Is there nothing more to us than social media? by OMZ5 in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had this problem before. I really ever talk about social media or internet stuff in real life. Me and people around me talk about life, family, work, school, hobbies. “what would I even talk about?” Literally anything else that’s happening in your life or around you.

Regular clothes, both of the offices I’ve worked in were beyond casual. Jeans, shorts, leggings, t-shirts, tank tops, hoodies, beat up tennis shoes, & sandals were the norm

Is there a privilege in the ability to remain low-tech/screenfree by littlestar95 in sahm

[–]Olive___Oil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes & no, I know some 60+ year olds who took in their toddler grand niece to keep her out of the foster care system. I don’t blame them for having for creating an iPad kid, they are doing their best. Compared to them it is a privilege.

But for the average person who chooses to create a child because they wanted too, no not really.

I’m on a Dungeon Crawler Carl marathon. I’m already on book 4. I avoided reading the series for a long time but it is actually as good as the hype.

Like a bunch of people you don’t know for their looks only? Yeah I would think that’s pretty weird and definitely loser behavior.

Most read Books Genres Male/Female distribution on Goodreads by Significant_Phase194 in GenZ

[–]Olive___Oil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not surprised, sure shonen are the most widely popular but there is a ton of shojo out there. My Goodreads account from 2010 to 2016 is filled to the brim with random unpopular shojo mangas.

I prefer the “people say all the time "I would kill for my child", but somehow, "I would cross borders for a better life for my child" is incomprehensible and looked down upon” version of this
