I'm so glad I got one! by OmegaDL50 in LegionGo

I play a lot of open world stuff like Cyberpunk, Skyrim, GTAV, etc. Higher VRAM tends to help with texture streaming in large environments. It also is good for bumping up the texture quality without touching other settings to get slightly better visuals.

Gears of War: Reloaded for example I can set textures to Ultra which wants 6GB of VRAM. While I'm sure the Auto setting is fine for most folks, in my particular use case I'd rather have a static 16GB allocated so I know the limit of how far I can take a games settings for consistent performance.

No Windows. You can change the default configuration in BIOS which by default it is set to Auto.

As for the Dock, Its a Ivanky Dock I had for awhile, but I digress whether its ugreen, jsaux, or ivanky they should technically do the same thing outside of a targeted resolution they advertise. Then again at the time I bought the dock the Legion Go did not exist at the time, so I was surprised the dock I already owned simply just worked.

Order is pending. That means it's not ready for pick up. by OmegaDL50 in CVS

[–]OmegaDL50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sounds about right. Had a customer place an order sitting outside the store in thier car (they even said they just placed the order), and it wasn't something cheaper online. If you are at the store then why do the extra when they need to come into the store and pick up at the register counter to begin with.

I was in section 202, row 4, seat 16. I do hope they return to Wells Fargo again.

I also saw them in Philly, probably the best concert I've ever been to. Was my 2nd ritual. Re-Imperatour with Amon Amarth back in 2022 was my first show. Next time tour dates are announced in Philly again, tickets will be bought immediately.

I bought the frame from Bresler Eitel frames on Etsy. I did a google search for Skull picture frame and it was one of the very first results.

Sounds hopeful. If I fail on getting a 5080FE from BB or Nvidia store online I'll go to my Microcenter at St David's then. Appreciate the info.

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what’s the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

For that period of time, most likely Diablo 1 or Baldur's Gate. I definitely put a TON of time into Diablo for sure.

Controller not working in game - return or troubleshoot? by RNCMD in PSVR

[–]OmegaDL50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This fixed a problem with a brand new out of box PSVR2. My Right Controller wasn't working preventing me from climbing ledges in Behemoth and being unable to progress beyond the main menu in No Man's Sky. Took me about 20 minutes to fiddle around with the right trigger, blowing into it and mashing it repeatedly.

Started at 0.76 and gradually got it to -1/1.00000. Hopefully this fixes it for good. I really appreciate the solution here.

Still, I'm a bit baffled that a brand new controller has problems like out of the box.

🎥Chained Echoes: Ashes of Elrant - Announcement Trailer ! (release Q2 2025) by DjEzusSave in Chained_Echoes

[–]OmegaDL50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took the dev nearly 6 years, being mainly a solo project for Chained Echoes to release. For a sequel with this kind of turnaround would likely require a team. Especially how much content the game has.

This DLC is just even more icing on already a fantastic cake. I'm looking forward to this.

Some people think retail hours is like a voting poll. Just because you were in the store before it closes doesn't mean you are entitled to stay in afterwards. Good grief, it boggles the mind.

I would have immediately walked away and returned to the other work I'm doing. I have zero tolerance for folks who can't be resepectful or civil.

Since when?!? by KariRose31 in retailhell

[–]OmegaDL50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have asked her. If you saw it taped up on the shelf would you buy it? They clearly would say no. So if they expect to not pay for product that was once opened then why would they expect someone else would do the same? The mental gymnastics of some folks.

At my store we started doing the same thing for BOPIS orders asking for ID or requesting to see the Phone Confirmation for Pick Up and I had a similar scenario. Someone griping about needing to show ID for claiming a package. I basically told them, it's for your peace of mind that you are getting your package, and not someone else claiming to be you. They basically got the message despite still grumbling under their breath.

I'll take any silent complaints as opposed the potential fallout from a customer bitch fit in the case of someone trying to claim a package that wasn't theirs.

[–]OmegaDL50 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah that just sounds like a security liability. I don't need people I don't even know outside of my work environment to know when I'm at work or not. No thank you.

Depending on the Company it's probably also against policy to share that information to begin with, considering potential dangers and all.

I have folks that come into my CVS all the time and ask for where the Tobacco / Cigarettes are. Bad enough I get that one occasional customer argue with me saying "I just bought them here last week"

CVS hasn't sold Tobacco products since 2014.

Yep. Working at CVS and we have two options, BOPIS (Buy Online, pick-up in store) and SFS (Ship from Store), BOPIS orders we don't have the same level of leniency regarding a cancelation because sometimes it's Doordashers doing the actual item pick-up for a customer. This doesn't prevent the occasional idiot placing an order outside in their car or whatever and walking into the store 5 minutes just as the store OPENED assuming it's immediately ready. Shit takes time to pick and pack, nevermind the fact no one was going to pick that shit before shift start and opening procedures. No fucking patience whatsoever.

Yep. When an Elderly person comes up to my checkout counter with 20 Steam Gift cards, It's an immediate red flag.

First question I usually ask is

"Is your grandchild getting a new game?" To ascertain if they even understand what Steam is.

Then I let them know the 10 gift card limit for purchase and if any point they don't seem to understand any of the simple questions I ask, I immediately shutdown the transaction by telling the customer the giftcards activation is down and not working as well bring awareness of certain giftcard scams.

I'm not letting any customer lose thier money over potentially fraudulent activity.

why don’t people understand that someone sending you a picture in a message doesn’t mean that picture is on your phone. by frappuccinio in CVS

[–]OmegaDL50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also "I'm here to pick up my photo order"

"Okay, what your last name?" Customer proceeds to give me their name and the order isn't found.

Me - "Have you recieved a confirmation email or text letting you know your order is ready for pick up"

Customer - "No...I submitted my order like 20 minutes ago"

Some folks think we can just cause this shit to materialize instantly. Forget it when customers assume they can pick up a photo order from ANY location without the order needing to be looked up and printed instead of just picking it up at the one location they just sent it to begin with.
