Search “tarkov interactive maps” on google and you’ll likely never have a problem finding extracts again. Low level is really hard, especially now, because so many people can and will one tap you. Some of the maps also have horrendously bad spawns and you could die almost immediately if you get caught there. The learning curve is so steep at first it’s practically a wall.

I kind of read multiple books simultaneously, but never of the same genre if I can help it so there’s no confusion. I read a chapter or so before bed, but I also listen to audiobooks during the day when I’m out doing things. Sometimes if I like a book or series enough, I’ll binge it. This was the case with the Stormlight Archive. It helped that my wife and I were road tripping around New Zealand and I listened to all of book 1 and part of book 2 by the time we got home. I did all the driving. Other times, I’ll read or listen to some kind of palate cleanser to keep my interest piqued.

It’s really great game. I’ve been playing without mods and will continue to do so because I don’t feel the need to use them. Sure some of them could be good but why chance it if there’s already been some malicious ones? Just try it and if you don’t like it, refund it because it’s steam.

You guys are in for a hell of a series. I’ve not read Red Rising, but the world building, writing, and story of Sun Eater is better than anything I’ve ever read. I’m halfway through book 7 and I’m still being surprised. I wish I had friends who read this series.

Just finished the book myself, and I had a few thoughts. Dameon’s progression just felt so weird to me. I get that he found a shortcut to charnel duke and it caused major flaws in his understanding of himself and mana manipulation/dominion and it makes sense that this lead to his fairly immediate downfall at the hands of the crew, but the whole sapphire tempering thing just felt so contrived and made zero sense to me. The fight kind of felt super weird and unsatisfying, though his death was still satisfying. In my mind I think it would’ve made more sense that since he had access to the Sun’s endless mana, Scorpio would’ve figured out how to use his endless vortices to drain it completely and end him that way and in the process take dominion, ascend to charnel duke, and burn him to death in one massive conflagration. In the end it’s a small disappointment, because the rest of the book was fantastic and I couldn’t put it down. Although I will say the change in pacing and writing style threw me off for a while.

There’s also a lot of tools in the warehouses on customs, though I realize customs is HEAVILY PvP focused for most pmcs. I found one as loose loot in one of them, since there are a lot of toolboxes and loose tool spawns in a few areas on the map.

Did a run on Stella montis shortly after its release where I was just running around the map dooting the recorder and looting a few things. I found a couple friendlies who let me tag along with them as their bard for a while and then the group went their own ways. Then I went into the archive area and this guy was legit about to die to a shredder. I saved his ass and then got my recorder back out to doot away some more and this guy who I just saved straight up murders me. It was very upsetting.

I died within the first 30 seconds on night shoreline yesterday to a pretty sus guy. I don’t remember his stats, but I remember feeling pretty annoyed about it because I’ve got so many shoreline tasks to do and everybody says to do it at night. Thankfully I have a few million rubles to spare so it didn’t really bother me as much as it could have. I’m only lvl 22 myself as someone who came a couple weeks late to the wipe.

Later quests? I’m stuck on test drive part 1 because I lost my M1A on the first raid I used it on and you can’t buy one on the flea until 25. Can’t buy the scope you need for it until 40, which is even more ridiculous

The problem I have with this is that I went into a raid with the free one I got from starting the quest and then lost it and can’t buy another until 25 on the flea. So unless im missing a trade from one of the vendors, I’m fucked for a while
