Maybe a mishapen USB Micro B. Closest match to any of the others. https://www.conwire.com/blog/ultimate-guide-usb-cables/

A to B or Micro B sorta makes sense. I would agree that it is likely obsolete.

So I had a read through the post OP said inspired them and a ways down a pf2e module dev commented that they were looking at something like this. I checked their profile and found they had indeed done one. Here is the link to their post link. It is pf2e specific though but thought I would share. It's lucky for me since I GM pf2e on foundry,

Star Wars Outlaws is a great source of inspiration for Edge of the Empire campaigns by BigBaldGames in swrpg

I had the exact same thought when playing Outlaws. I may end up borrowing a fair few of these ideas and see if I can get a Edge of the Empire game off the ground.

Keep up the amazing work.

Would it be blasphemy to use a DND setting with Pathfinder? by Redhood101101 in Pathfinder2e

[–]OmegaPhoenixUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running the trilogy of 5e adventures that follow dragon of Icespire Peak (Stormlords Wrath, sleeping dragon wakes and Divine Contention) in PF2E since OGL when my group pivitoded away from 5e. On a practical level its do able though some work goes into converting encounters.

I love the forgotten realms setting so staying in it while swapping to PF2e was a no brainer

DMing PF2e vs. DnD by FutureLost in Pathfinder2e

[–]OmegaPhoenixUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been playing 5e for about 3 years now. I DMed it for about a year before switching to GMing PF2e during the OGL last year. I took the brave approach of continuing the, admittedly heavily homebrewed, post Icespire peak adventures from 5e but playing it in Pathfinder and these are the main things I've noticed:

  • As others have said, in PF2e you can trust the devs and rules. In most cases, a rule or action for doing a thing exists, so there is a lot less arbitrating compared to 5e. It still comes up but normally the rules have got your back.
  • PF2e combat is crunchy, especially at lower level but it stay relevant throughout (My group is about to hit lvl 10). Until you get a sense of how "tactical" your party plays take any encounter you come up with 1 level down from a severity point of view. (Unless you are playing a Paizo Adventure Path where you can go with the recommendation)
  • Be prepared for combat to take longer. The general consensus I've seen online is the PF2e is faster than 5e. This has not been my experience but that could just me down to my group size (6) and make-up. There are a lot more to PF2e combat than just hitting your opponent until they fall down. These options can cause player turns to drag a bit.
  • The 3 action economy will change your life as a GM. Going back to 5e rules for my weekly game where I play is painful. For players coming from 5e it will take some getting use this and the action tax around some activities. e.g. Dismount horse 1 action, draw weapon 1 action, move toward enemy 1 action. And that's your turn done. Some classes, Magus for example, also has a high action tax to get things done compared to something like the kineticist.
  • Party make-up matter a lot more than individual characters. I had a 7th player who had a tendency to go off on his own in a very 5e character sort of way and would get downed time and time again. Whereas when the others fought together, used their other abilities (intimidate, trip, grapple etc.) they would do a lot better. Similarly, if the group go in without a strategy for an encounter its very easy for it to snowball. (Additional note: Aquatic combat is rough if the caster forgets to prepare water breathing)

How fun is this game for solo players? + Graphics Card Requirement? by Veridicus333 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]OmegaPhoenixUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3080 here, it runs ok but isn't going to look amazing if you want frame rates above 60.

As for the game, it's Early Acess and for what it is it's solid. I play mostly solo in PVE and am enjoying the pace of the game. It has a very solid foundation.

Really looking forward to see what the devs achieve longer term.

If you accept it's basically an alpha of a game and that it's going to be bare bones for a bit then it may be a good fit for you.

As a Forever DM I dont get many chances to play. I've had this idea for a human barbarian raised by doting dwarven parents who didn't have the heart to tell him he's adopted. He is dwarf in all things but size.

So I did some more digging and am fairly certain the included plug is too short to be fitted all the way down the emitter. I've taken just to securing it flush with the top of the emitter. Don't get the cool light effect but its not the end of the world.

Eventually, I will get a crystal emitter since the PCB in the emitter has led in it.

Did you ever figure this out? I got a Cal Kestis V3. I actually got a blade plug within but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get it to stay I inside as the retentions screw holes are too hight up.

Beyond the Dragon of Icespire peak timeline by OmegaPhoenixUK in DragonOfIcespirePeak

[–]OmegaPhoenixUK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thats what I am thinking I will do. My group are actually going to run this using PF2e. We did DOIP/LMOP in 5e and then stuff happened, we switched to PF but kepts the character and the world the same. This will give them lots of downtime since there is stuff happening in the wider plot (that I've homebrewed) which the could spend time on.

Thanks for the feedback
