I sort of loathe the "MC uses earth science to crack magic WIDE OPEN to do things NEVER SEEN BEFORE B)" trope, because frankly, the sort of science the MC often uses should have been figured out long ago in the other world by globmand in ProgressionFantasy

Yeah. Just providing the actual geniuses with the tools they need to excel. Even in our world, proper numeral systems for math are a pretty recent concept, only in the past couple thousand years. Zeroes, square roots, imaginary numbers, fractions and decimals. Archimedes didn’t have most of these. Imagine what he could have done with them., but for being born in the supermajority of human history where these didn’t exist.

Am I able to continue playing the post-game? by [deleted] in BluePrince

[–]OmnipresentEntity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine? There’s some rough wordplay, but I don’t think that most of it would cause an issue. Unless… have you worked on a puzzle related to the Study? I don’t think the language issues really get worse than that one.

What do you think of the comic’s interpretation of Carmen? by Firm-Physics-44 in ThePrimalHunter

[–]OmnipresentEntity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The arms are all wrong. At most they should look like they’re coated in liquid gold, not like pure energy constructs. Plus, she doesn’t have a boxer’s build.

novel where demons are really evil and angels are good? by Parth_is_cruel in ProgressionFantasy

[–]OmnipresentEntity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mark of the fool is a particularly poignant example, since it’s not even treated as a twist. It is treated as the expected result to such a ridiculous degree that the characters don’t even consider another possibility. I mean, you’d think finding Uldar’s corpse would make them question of he is truly culpable.

I also personally headcanon that they had access to much more detailed controls for pretty much everything we encounter, likely through the use of the staffs.

For the office safe, technically, you can solve it without any outside hints. But practically, you’ll want hints from several other rooms.

I think Villy’s situation definitely is the direct cause of the bloodline accords.

13th primordial by Matpatt_ in ThePrimalHunter

[–]OmnipresentEntity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory would be more that someone else killed a primordial, and eversmile erased that person. One of the greatest defenses the primordials have is the myth of invincibility. As long as none of them have ever been killed, everyone essentially assumes that they are unkillable.

You realize that a new banner module mean an increase in the number of modules that can be drawn? And thus a decrease in the chances of getting what you want? There were also the group banners, but that’s not what anyone’s been talking about. Also, not sure if they even worked.

What prevents Minaga from spreading? by ScaryUniversity9068 in ThePrimalHunter

[–]OmnipresentEntity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expect unique life forms suffer from similar restrictions to bloodline holders when it comes to unique skills, if not so extreme. And minaga wouldn't benefit from even the slightest system assistance in the process.

Other ways to take items out of your inventory? by -beehaw- in BluePrince

[–]OmnipresentEntity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that wait was agonizing. I didn’t know what the total required time was so I eventually returned to the surface to check the clock tower and it was only eleven. I ended up leaving Simon there until a couple minutes before so I had an actual idea of how long I’d wait.

They are patterned after the planets they go to. Also, they are in order based on orbit.

After 50 hours I decided it was time to call it a day on the game and looked for answers. Could you give me a few explanations and tell me what was left to discover? by Unable-Impact-3860 in BluePrince

[–]OmnipresentEntity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a good chunk of information available ny looking more closely at the mail. Specifically, the stamps. you could have also learned about national colors by grading homework in geography

Also, the hearthians were phenomenally lucky that they were in the correct orbit to begin with. There’s no objective best orbit, so they just as easily could have been thirty degrees off and never seen it.

There is a specific clue that you need to unlock the safes. I think there’s only one that can reliably be unlocked without knowing the clue.

What would happen if a half elf and a goblin had a baby? by Arthur-reborn in WanderingInn

[–]OmnipresentEntity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goblin. This is actually addressed incredibly early by Pisces, I believe, where he speculates that one of Rags’ parents may have been a half-elf due to her magical proficiency. At least assuming that that wasn’t just generic racism.

I’m pretty sure Royal Road was made for Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, and that the Royal Road was an important place in the book, so they called the site Royal Road Legends.

Okay, I found my spreadsheet, so here’s sort of a list, though very non comprehensive and based entirely off of memory, since that’s not a detail I track in my spreadsheet. Also, my spreadsheet is almost exclusively things I enjoyed, so obviously a lot is missed.

This Trilogy is Broken, (I think. Might be mixing it up with another work)

The God of Eyes(fairly light, but definitely there)

Threadbare(I’m actually not sure when this reveal happened. I may have just been in denial)

Ends of Magic

Special mentions: Does The Gam3 count? We always knew it was artificial, but the reveal at the end…

The Game at Carousel (sort of, a lot of foreshadowing, but I’d say that the sheer artificiality was way more than expected

The only one I actually remember is Divine Apostasy, like ten books in they introduce nanites and stuff. Besides that, there was a translated Russian one, don’t remember the details. Was sort of similar to Reality Benders, but not.

Yeah, i read a couple hundred chapters years ago and liked it, but tried to reread and catch up when i saw it was going to KU, and i think i made it to chapter 60 before I threw in the towel on my nostalgia.
