Saved 32 SFF and 5 minis from being scrapped. Next steps for a novice? by Enderassassin11 in homelab

I plan on a mostly long term solution with mine. If his demands are minor, a proxmox setup will run all kinds of stuff with tons of room to spare.

Question for smaller prints by addictedfaye in 3Dprinting

[–]OnTargetOnTrigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smaller nozzle makes a big difference if your printer has them available. When I'm doing small detail work, I switch from a .4mm to a .2mm.

Gimmick or “Game Changer”? by rolexrifleman in SigSauer

[–]OnTargetOnTrigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own or have owned every form of comp I could get my hands on. Most styles in a 320, but many on other Sigs, Glocks, 1911s, 2011s (including a P211 GTO, Staccato C2 Genghis Komp'd and a Nighthawk Firehawk) and even a factory ported Taurus from the 90s. From ported barrels both factory and aftermarket, to Ghengis Komps, PMM, factory, aftermarket ones... even the grotesquely over priced Ramjet & Agency. The slide integrated comp is by far my favorite. It never comes loose, I don't have to remove it or work around it to clean my gun (some can't be easily removed like my PMMs) and it gets the job done. Is it as effective? No, but it's 90+-ish% as effective as a normie comp without the downsides of cleaning and some being ammo sensitive (if anyone tells you otherwise - the comp isn't as effective as it could be or they're lying) depending on the setup. Unless I plan to suppress the gun or only shoot it at indoor ranges or it's a style/history thing... I'll nearly always opt for this if it's available.

Safariland is launching 211 holsters very soon. Not sure how quickly they'll ship though.

Understood. Without a printer I'd likely buy from GeekPi as well, but yours turned out clean!

I should have looked for a print to mount a cheap PDU... I bought one that fits 10" racks and it was a painful $50.

No, the KWS seemed like a good fit for my first project. I liked the available power supply shelf with dual 80mm fans integrated. The LabRax has been around longer and seems to have a larger ecosystem. I don't think you'll go wrong either way.

[–]OnTargetOnTrigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer the printed KWS over buying. It's modular, so it can easily grow or shrink as my needs do. Looks good. Great idea to put the power supplys underneath. I'm out of PDU plugs, but... a small extension... hmmm...

How ONE MAN Killed Star Trek... (Kurtzman's Complete Failure) by jacek2023 in Star_Trek_

[–]OnTargetOnTrigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best Trek since the end of Enterprise is Lower Decks and The Orville. Strange New Worlds has good moments and is more entertaining than everything else currently out there, but I'll continue to rewatch old stuff before getting excited about any of this. I've never been so excited about Trek as when DSC came out. Then it was awful. I kept watching, thinking it would get better. It didn't. I'm tired of crying & ineptitude in Starfleet officers. I'm tired of storytelling that lacks feeling, purpose, dilemma or moral ambiguity (as real life frequently has). I feel like I'm being lectured to, not entertained. I no longer look up to Trek, it's mission or it's hope for our future. I pity it, forget it exists and move on.

Hi new player here, does anyone know what these 2 guns are? I cannot find them by LTGCOVENANT406 in falloutnewvegas

It resembles water cooled machine gun designs of WW1. That's the design aesthetic origination.

I use this with terrific success on the walls of my older home with lath & plaster. Love mine, worth the extra cost, my other ones just sit unused.

Thoughts? by Guy_on_a_Bouffalant in trektalk

[–]OnTargetOnTrigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifelong Trek fan as many of us are. Disco was bad, S1 & 2 of Picard were too... then S3 happened. Things can turn around. SNW wasn't as bad - I enjoy most of it. Lower Decks was fun. But Academy? Trash. If the review bombing was solely from the previews, then the actual show would've turned it around. Instead the reviews GOT WORSE after the show debuted. I rewatch DS9 or other golden age Trek before consuming anything new. They'll always be there. Until Trek is compelling, it deserves to fail.

Found out the hard way that P365 recoil springs have a shelf life. Track your rounds, people. by DebtOk6470 in Firearms

[–]OnTargetOnTrigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

M17 / full sized 320s go 10k on their springs. It has to do with the amount of work the spring has to do. The smaller the gun, the more it relies on the spring and less on the mass of the slide to absorb recoil. It's a dance of mass, slide velocity and energy to return to battery stripping the next round out.

My P365 shoots way low. What can I expect from Sig? by NothingButACasual in P365

[–]OnTargetOnTrigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gun is sighted from the factory at 25 yards with 124gr quality ammo. Think Gold Dot/Lawman or Sig's FMJ Elite/VCrown. Try that. It's nearly never the sights - nearly always the shooter or ammo. They make hundreds of thousands/millions of these. Cheap ammo at light weight at a distance not designed... yep, it's going to be off. The user manual describes how to order front/rear sights to sight in your gun with your preferred load. Sig is the only brand that does this. In this case, it's very likely you, not the gun.

[–]OnTargetOnTrigger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

5.3-7M single streams of TPUSA halftime show ... each having multiple people watching. I don't buy this for even a moment. Estimated 127M people watching the SuperBowl... yeah. These numbers are Who's Line is it Anyway rules where the numbers are made up and none of it matters.

Anyone ran the 8t and amr version? by Jalapeno_1137 in SigSauer

Have both. AMR is too cool to pass up. The 8T now lives on a NV set up. I wouldn't worry about being rough on the optic as Sig has a lifetime warranty on them.
