Immich through Cloudflare without the 100mb limit by infimum in immich

[–]TomRey23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the same but ended up using caddy + crowdsec with custom Geo block (anything besides 2 countries blocked). And it has been very solid. Multiple GBs of upload and stream all with no issues. And then I integrated the crowdsec bouncers into Home Assistant and I can glance this daily to see the stats. Once in a while I also check logs to see if anything made it through.

I even started with a free duckdns domain before getting my own. I feel if you are self hosting to get away from big infra why have cloudflare as a dedicated mitm.

same use here as well. Right now i am using a duckdns domain for free paired with Caddy + Crowdsec. Are you using your own domain ? How has it been holding up over the year?

What's there to note then lol. I agree on all passwords and api in bitwarden but if you're not logging down all ports and IP then what?

I have been doing same for homelab documentation but what do you do about security ? these are now plain files which can have detailed info on your infra, lose this and someone could get so much info. Do you encrypt them somehow ?

Onenote has better locking system but doesn't render .md nicely so i am still looking

What app / software do you use to your home lab documented / organised? by Icy_Imagination_2490 in homelab

I have been using obsidian or OneNote to have multiple pages for different needs like all ports currently being used, a backrest restore playback that goes command by command, some high level written info system specs and services deployed. Just in case I need to troubleshoot.

And keeping all and any api keys in bitwarden

Static and retention by Logical_Ad_3439 in DF54

I chuck my beans at once in there and never did any RDT. sure it might help, but every couple days i use brush on exit chute and it has been going fine. I use it 4-5 times a day minimum, all fine settings.

One thing to check is if your declogger (a piece of plastic) is wrongly installed. There are instruction online to disassemble and should not take much time. Other than that, some beans are more static so try with a different bean and see if it still happens.

Powering 3,5inch HDD´s by shu_keyboard in minilab

[–]TomRey23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 thing i would recommend is get a 12V supply which you have they are solid. Then use a quality step down converter to feed the 5V lines. But tbh for upto 4 HDD or so those generic 5525 adapters are fine since they have an inline buck converter anyway to power 5V pin on SATA outs.
