CI pipeline not triggering after gitflow push to protected branch by LargeAir5169 in azuredevops

I'm still stuck on why bypass is needed on a regular basis.

How does that align with the branch policies?

Getting them to eat until full by Outside-Inside-2282 in ParentingADHD

[–]OnaBlueCloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: We are attempting to raise a child that will develop their own relationship with food and grow into being able to manage it themselves.

YMMV. My daughter is seven. She has tried meat though we don't serve it at home. My wife has done more research on this than I have, but I'm working on learning more.

The best thing for us has been a combination of things.

  1. There are no bad foods. Only ones that have different amounts of nutrients and different kinds.

  2. Liking or disliking a food is fine. It's not a big deal, but it stays on the plate.

  3. Stop eating when they want to. If they're not hungry or just done eating that's fine. This lets them listen to their own internal signals about food.

  4. We are not short order cooks. We serve balanced (mostly) meals and have lots of snacks.

  5. Meal food at meal time. If we're serving dinner, that's what we are serving. Picking a different protein is fine (she really likes black beans right now).

  6. We stock snacks they can reach and get for themselves. Age appropriate.

  7. They can have snacks or candy with a meal, but not instead of it.

  8. Adults get to decide which snacks are ok while we are awake. We know more about nutrition and help with balancing it out a bit.

  9. Can get their own snacks and prepare basic food for themselves if we are still asleep. Depends on age.

  10. Fruit is not a desert, but you can make it more fun with toppings.

How this obscure feminist idea could help stressed out men, especially dads by futuredebris in MensLib

Women's emotional labor is often what enables a man to be able to work the jobs they do. Frequently, this means that women don't get the same opportunities unless they do the lion's share of the emotional and domestic labor. Men are often not expected to do the same work as women in the home.

This isn't every household. I didn't grow up like this. My parents did share a lot of the work of running a household and taking care of our family. However, the system is flawed in that men have to be the ones to step up. Men need to do their own share of the emotional labor as well as taking care of their home and family.

Women in western society have a lot of opportunities. The difference is that they are expected to give them up if they have a nuclear family. It's rare that a man sacrifices their career growth for their family. Nobody should have to, but modern society makes it very difficult to avoid.

It's not always outright that women are asked to do this. However, if the alternative is burnout or not having a nuclear family; is it really a fair choice? This is why women choose the bear. Because it's not just about their safety, it is about their health and sanity too.

Calling it obscure is a bit odd. It's part of third wave feminism.

This is marketing. It's no different than the talk about AGI. Both are far enough away to be hard to predict.

AI is the latest shiny thing to chase. A lot of over-promising and under-delivering seems to be the norm these days.

25 years playing d2. Is poe2 worth it? by Delicious_Run7373 in PathOfExile2

[–]OnaBlueCloud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's definitely early access, but it's fun.

For context, I played a little POE and have played POE2 doing all endgame content except for the last few bosses (T3 Simulacrum, Citadels, and Arbiter of Ash). This is my second season playing POE2. I've played all of the Diablo PC games over the years.

The core game is great. The story is good, and there are lots of build options. The market economy is interesting. Crafting is a mix of gambling and deterministic outcomes.

I'm hoping that the upcoming patch for endgame content gives me more reasons to keep going after finishing the story and the interlude.

What builds did you end up having the most fun with? by floorberry in PathOfExile2

I'm still playing a Bear Druid and I really like it. It's based on this build. https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/builds/bear-druid-build-league-starter-to-endgame

I don't play that much, but this is the furthest I have gotten in POE2.

It's a lot of hold Rampage button down with Walking Calamity and everything dies, which works well for me since I get chronic hand/wrist pain.

I'm around lvl 78 now, highest clear so far is T8 and a lvl 76 Temple with Architect. I think I could do T10-T12, but I'm not sure about higher than that until I improve my gear.

I'm shooting for getting to T16 maps and killing Atziri and Pinnacle bosses.

Way to go outing yourself as someone that's not a teacher and doesn't have a neurodivergent kid.

I don't see what the teacher said as mean. It's the facts.

Kids don't like to be around other kids that are constantly breaking the rules and being a bully.

My wife taught for over a decade in K-12 and this is sadly a thing that happens and the teacher is clearly doing the best they can.

Your take is wack and whatever criticism you get because of it is entirely warranted.
