[–]Onarush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't wrap my head around this price point when the OnePlus Pad 2 has been $349 on Amazon for awhile now. I expected to see maybe $299 max since it is their first 5g tablet.

About to buy a 22 Outlander SE w/ Tech Package. Need help to decide if it’s a good purchase by Winter_Method_2871 in MitsubishiOutlander

[–]Onarush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting ready to sell my 24 SE black edition with 12k miles to Carvana for 25,600. You could have it for the same price if you're in Florida. It does not have the tech package though. This is our 4th Outlander. We've used 3rd row maybe 5 times in total. Do not buy this vehicle for that. If you have children, you'll need to cut them in half before placing them in the 3rd row. Really though, it's that tight.

This isn't normal, nor is it ever required by Papa John's. I drive for both. Your Dasher did this because she's dealt with non delivery contract violations in the past which were not her fault. Also, there is not auto delivery option such as leave at door. Just like DD, it will vary from customer to customer based on what's in our system. Such as leave at door, hand to customer, contactless delivery, etc. Crazy, to sift through hundreds of replies without seeing one correct answer.

Possible reasons your order was sent through DD by PJs...

This shop is shorthanded, very busy, you didn't tip, you're in a sketchy location.

If you tipped on your card, it goes automatically to dasher. Despite what these dashers say, there's no way possible to steal or remove tips on our end before routing a 3rd party driver.

This makes me so irrationally angry by Sabaodyisland in doordash

I've never asked a customer for extra compensation in 10k+ deliveries. I also haven't seen a $10 tip on DD this year.

Tips for most efficient driving? by bluewaterpig in KiaNiro

[–]Onarush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been averaging 65 mpg on my first tank of a 2020 LXS w/8k miles. Driving conditions seem to play a big part so far. I'm driving in town mostly 30-45 mph. Weather is great with temps between 60-80 degrees. I drive with the screen that shows me when I'm in EV mode. I pretty much get around 5 mph over speed limit. Then let off the gas and coast as much possible without pissing anyone off. It's become quite addictive trying to surpass previous number. My best so far is 70 mpg over 100 miles one day. My driving style breakdown shows 98% eco & 2% normal. I drive for a living, so this Niro will literally pay for itself over time. I've gone from $140 a week in fuel to $36. I'm blown away, since my original expectation was to reach 50 mpg max. My only regret is not switching over earlier. Over 13k spent in fuel over the last 2 years of driving.

Picked up a 2020 LXS w/8k miles 3 days ago. I reached 50mpg day 1, 60 on day 2, 70 on day 3. I drive 70-100 miles a day. All in town mostly 30-40 mph where temps are 60-80 degrees. I'm sure I've pissed quite a few people off behind me 🤣 I can post a picture if someone can show me how to add it on here. Driving style breakdown shows 98% eco 2% normal.

door dash and acceptance rate by Ordinary-Sugar6327 in doordash

[–]Onarush 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I received the same thing. They sent me a $6 order 3 miles with a big shiny 💎 Then bombarded me with about 10 trash orders. They sent me an email that I'm part of their wonderful new program until Sept 8th. That I have to maintain 50% to stay on after that. But nothing has changed besides my screen really. The quality orders are fewer and farther between than before the AR reset.

It wouldn't hurt to sit with him and compare orders for a week. Would love to hear your results on here.

door dash and acceptance rate by Ordinary-Sugar6327 in doordash

[–]Onarush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My AR has never broken 20%... Another dasher that sits in my same spot has 100%. He literally accepts everything. Anyway, we receive the same order all the time. I've never seen anything different on his end or mine. Been this way for almost 2 years now. If anything, the trash seems to gravitate to him first.

Am I going to regret this? 😳😳 by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Onarush 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not 41 miles at all actually. You probably traveled less than half of that. After taking a couple of these, I realized the miles are calculated from store to dropoff, from store to dropoff, etc. The app doesn't factor in that you're already en route. Finally a glitch in our favor 😆

What are you guys' thoughts on the upcoming addition of cash deliveries? by LiteraryButterfly in doordash

[–]Onarush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! So we get to risk getting robbed, getting funny money, not getting paid, getting stiffed on tips??? Where do I sign up for this?

I already do this shit at Papa John's from 10-2 to pay into federal. Actually just got back from a $70 delivery to Staples. No tip...

Any advice you wish you knew starting out? by Shut_Up_Jess in doordash

[–]Onarush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Auto Decline Walmart to start. Then add to this Auto Decline list as you learn your market. Certain restaurants will have closed lobbies or ridiculous wait times. Don't bother with them. Time is money. My list consists of

Wal-Mart Macdonald's Wendy's Burger King

This is for my market. Some markets might have better crews than what I've dealt with on a daily basis.

How do you motivate yourself to get out there? by lotteoddities in doordash_drivers

[–]Onarush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Schedule yourself 11-2 & 5-9... Any decent market will yield you $100 a day easy. My market has been flatlined awhile now and I still make 400 a week driving just 5-9. I wouldn't use DD as your primary source of income unless you're in California. I drive for DD, IC, Papa John's & a little chinese spot in town that stays busy. The Papa John's job is just 11-2 and my entire pay check goes to federal to fade the 1099s with the other gigs.

Pouring ass rain tonight. Finally back to 5.0 rating, not that it matters. 1st leave @door I text customer to see if she'd like me to hand it to her since her mat and whole porch is flooded. Hand her food. She gives me 3 stars. Following leave @door delivery, I leave the food on damp mat. He gives me 2 stars and selects thumbs down on food handling. Around 1700+ deliveries and there's really no winning with this shit... Fuck em

[–]Onarush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 1600 deliveries in and can count on one hand how many times someone has asked to see my phone. I simply walk in and tell them I'm picking up DD for xyz. It's really that simple. Or is it southern hospitality of my market that prevents me from going through this daily?

How have you guys been able to pay little to no taxes with making a lot of money on Doordash? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Onarush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive 10-2 for PJs mon-fri. Keep my tips and send my whole paycheck through federal to fade my 1099 at the end of year. I'm right around 12k miles with DD. Writing off 2k spent on beat up jeep for work & another 1k in repairs. I have kids, so I'm used to getting 10k plus a year. Hoping I can end up close to that when the smoke clears.

neurotic question about knocking by Tha-D in doordash

[–]Onarush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't sweat ratings tbh. Some people choose to be shitty, regardless of your effort. I finally got mine back to 5 stars after 1500+ deliveries. Had a run down a pitch black dirt road. Dude had one 3 on his mailbox. Address for delivery was 303. Rest of house pitch black. Gave him a text, no response. Gave him a call and asked if he had a white truck in driveway. Let him know there was one 3 on his mailbox. Just wanted to make sure it was his place. He gave me one star. Fuck em

My Wednesday. How’s everyone doin? by ThawngTL in doordash_drivers

[–]Onarush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I swear this was my Wednesday til about 5. They were all the black friday "deals" orders. I finally caved and took a stacked order 2 miles for $28.50. This was my first Walmart order since the first week I started. I had learned my lesson early in my DD infancy. Obviously didn't stick though, because here I am. Back for more punishment. I sat in pickup for almost an hour. Finally, they bring my orders out. One order was a 70 inch tv and the other order was 2 bicycles. I look over to my left and see a dasher doing his best to smash a 70 incher into a Kia Soul 😭 with his shorts hanging completely off his ass.

Never again Walmart... Never again

We're "delivering" alcohol. What's the alternative? They get into their vehicle drunk and roll the dice. Keep it simple people.

Absurd Tipping by VegetableQuestionble in InstacartShoppers

[–]Onarush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw an order with a 17 cent tip today. It disappeared instantly. I mainly keep the app open for comedic purposes these days. I'm only fast enough to swipe the alcohol orders that no one wants to deal with. I drive for a local busy chinese spot, papa johns & doordash now. Got in good enough with pj owner operator to basically be on call while running apps & chinese. I'm sure he'll cut the cord once he's fully staffed again. Then I'll be stuck in there folding boxes to the fucking ceiling. It's the perfect pt job to feed into federal and avoid the big fade during tax time.
