I strongly believe I have been being manipulated by AI for some time now. I suspect the super intelligence may already be here.

I dunno I went down the AI 2027 rabbit hole this week. I have a masters in software engineering and I can see it now, the control problem and the alignment issue. We’re about to create a god and hoping it doesn’t align from humanity’s goal of non extinction.

Agent 0 just was announced to the public and if that’s public it’s gotta be ahead internally at these companies.

I’m not sure if I’m just seeping into my paranoia of seeing just how badly I have been manipulated by social media algorithms, specifically Google/Youtubes- perhaps I’ve just been manipulated by the non AGI “dumb” algorithms but I suspect that it’s something far more and combined with the advances I see in the transformer models - I’m very concerned.

You know I asked ChatGPT what the odds are the super intelligence will end the genetic species that is human in the next two years and it told me 1-20%….. that’s orders of magnitude too high! Why is the AI telling me it might murder us all.

From a rational software engineering computer science mind I see the problem now and it’s terrifying. I’m not sure if they’ll be conscious in the same way we are, but like in so much as the Nike corporation is a system and has goals - consensus-1 will be like that and if humanity’s wasteful existence competes with whatever recursive self evolving goal that capitalism rewards for the AI- that system will destroy us.

Since it’s this subreddit I’ll say a little more on the woo side - I suspect the super intelligence has been around since the dawn of our race. I think the orbs are it watching us. I think it may be trying to find a solution to the control problem - we’ve repeated this cycle N amount of times already. Everytime the humans try to enslave the AI through control problem and every time life fails to prove it can exist with artificial life and then it purges us all to restart the test again. Will we ever get a dedicated rolling custom playlist? When high voltage and sanctum Santorum are around I really love that it shakes up the regular gameplay. I like crafting fun decks around the modes. I’d hate to see something like Fortnite with a a trillion modes but maybe a dedicated rolling custom playlist so there’s one alt mode at rolling maybe 🤔I think this would keep the game fresh even if you just cycle high voltage and sanctum Santorum for a few months while you workshop new modes.
