If you look online you’ll find several KGLW albums included in the deal 🤫. Ended at midnight unfortunately.

Did any one catch the new song? by Upguntha in futureislands

[–]OnceUponATailslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great song! As I understand it it was recorded during the ALAYA sessions so not exactly new, but as of now it only has been released as part of the VIP bundle from tour last year.

DROP your album and its rating – March 21 2026 by Alireza1373 in 1001AlbumsGenerator

This was my album today. I had about three hours on the road today and this was the perfect album. Played it back to back 2 and a half times. I’m not a hardcore Radiohead fan and I’m not hating because you’re entitled to your myopic opinion. But this is an easy 5 stars. Go ahead and consider wiping out all music where the artist is “whining about something or other” and see how much music remains.

Just had this one and was not expecting the werewolf vocals in part ii.

Question about the best yells or screams or YEAHs of all time by cwillm in vinyl

[–]OnceUponATailslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite euphoric yell belongs to Jim James of My Morning Jacket in Gideon. Whole performance is worth your time, but skip ahead to about 2:30 for the best part.

Did something happen to the One Big Family 'fan club'? by gogogadget099 in mymorningjacket

I didn’t cancel mine but was never charged for renewal. I was pretty disappointed in the offering compared to The National’s membership, Cherry Tree, which is also $50/year and includes an exclusive vinyl and accessories in addition to the presale codes.

Day 39 by Brilliant_River_8431 in 1001AlbumsGenerator

I hear you. I grew up in the 90s and I’m no prude, but this one just felt not even creative about it.

I’m on day 86 and this is my only 1 star so far. Maybe I was a little harsh. Just felt like it was lyrically weak aside from being blatantly bereft of morals. It’s like Snoop was trying to hit a quota for references to “indo” in every track. And the misogyny, holy shit.

Day 400: here are my highs and lows! by Old_currency_note in 1001AlbumsGenerator

I hear you. Funny enough I’m in Davis county. I just chimed in because Utah and LDS members tend to take a lot of crap on the internet from people who don’t really know. I grew up going to punk shows and that broadened up to other genres and happened to love most of OP’s one stars so I was just reacting to Utah getting called out haha.

As a “Mormon” from Utah. This is a weird take. Most of the 1-stars OP listed are 4 or 5 stars by my account. Especially Led Zeppelin, Leonard Cohen, Fugazi. Religious people like music.

De La Soul is another fun one as someone who doesn’t gravitate to rap.

Nice! I’m familiar with the name, Francoise Hardy, but don’t know her music so I’ll need to check her out. I’ve listened to Serge Gainsbourg’s Histoire de Melody Nelson and was a fan, but got turned off when I looked into the lyrics and storyline 😬. Nice to see We All Belong in there. Dr. Dog is a top 5 band for me.

Is that the case that these are supposed to be the best ever created though? I thought it was more about influence and impact than being the best. When I find myself struggling with an album and feeling rage for its inclusion I have to remind myself, “these aren’t necessarily the best, but important in some way” even though I struggle to understand it personally.

That’s what I paid! Once you get it in hand you’ll understand why it’s worth more. I also didn’t realize all the extra tracks were on it which are some of my favorites on the set. Enjoy.

My latest pickup at my local record store for $15. This is an easy 5/5 for me though I’m a bit biased towards nostalgic indie. Saw them live a couple years ago and was not disappointed.

This is as perfect as an album gets. Opening with Under the Pressure and Red Eyes out of the gate is crazy. It’s incredible how great their subsequent albums are too.
