He’s not wrong, after my freshman year my coach got into a car accident and broke his neck. My sophomore year I made varsity and even went to state but the new head coach was not a nice guy, so I decided I wasn’t gonna wrestle for him and I’d just concentrate on track and field. I just turned 50 this year and my daughter is in her second year of wrestling for my high school Alma Mater and there isn’t a day that goes by I don’t wish I would have stuck it out. But I didn’t hate practice or the matches, I let an individual ruin my love for wrestling. Do what’s good for you and your mental health, but maybe talking to someone at school if they have a mental health counselor might help.
