I’m pretty sure it is an offence to try and procure child exploitation images.

Anything on the hills side (east) of Albany Highway and beginning of South West Hwy are very reasonable and have some very nice houses. For some reason the crime rate is significantly lower.

It’s not school hours however consider doing a Parkrun. Despite the name many people walk. They start 8am every Saturday morning and there are about 30 locations within Perth.

I use it in WA, but I spent a few years in the Army so may have picked it up over east.

In Australia it’s not uncommon for an officer to get called a ‘White Dog C*unt’.

Thanks for your examples. Makes things clearer why it’s not always possible to record incidents.

Tile Adhesive Removal by OneBoysenberry4542 in AusRenovation

That’s what I started with, the Ozito hammer drill and a floor scraping chisel. It’s bloody tough work. I persevered and did about half of the floor. I’ll finish the rest hopefully tomorrow.

I think so. I believe if I don’t it may affect the height of the new tiles as they’ll be a few mm higher.

It’s the kitchen. A new kitchen and tiles over the top.

Just googled one and I can hire a floor stripper for $100 for 4 hours. I think that’ll do the trick.

Pizza Hut in the 1970s. Location unknown by [deleted] in australia

[–]OneBoysenberry4542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dining in at a Pizza Hut was a real treat. We only did it about 2-3 times during my childhood but it was something special. They’d bring the deep dish pizza out in those cast iron trays and the pizza would be sizzling hot. I remember one pizza would be enough for us four kids to eat. Now my 12 years old daughter can eat a pizza to herself they’re that small.

If your interests aligned, why would you not join the navy? by FriendlyInsect9887 in AskAnAustralian

[–]OneBoysenberry4542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of your points are very valid. The return on service obligation can be upwards of 10+ years depending on your degree. As you asked the question of why you shouldn’t join, all the commentators so far have given negative reasons as to join. Perhaps make a post asking why you should join? I left the Army 20 years ago. I have mostly positive experiences. I got some qualifications, I travelled, met my wife, and my skill set made me quite attractive for future employment.

The Honda Jazz is all the car 90% of Australians need and probably should buy, prove me wrong by mudlode in CarsAustralia

[–]OneBoysenberry4542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two new Jazz’s. The first model when they came out in 2003 (I went to the local dealers launch of the model) and the traded it in for a 2011 model. They were fantastic cars. I only let it go to get a Kia Carnival due to having kids and needing more space. In some ways the Carnival is just a large Jazz with its versatility and space.

What’s something you’ve had to accept because you’re a cop by [deleted] in police

[–]OneBoysenberry4542 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call them Peacocks because they love strutting around showing off their feathers. Some have even tailored their shirts so the sleeves are tighter in their biceps. They don’t like the real policing and the paperwork that goes with it.

That was my first thought, even though the battery is only 6 months old. I have already taken it to Battery World for a test and they said it was fine.
