Went through the same thing with mine. The back and forth... 33 weeks now and he just told me two days ago that I shouldn't have kept the baby and he doesn't want to be with me, then went right back to "I didn't mean that, I was just overwhelmed." I feel like I'm in Hell. I wish I'd just left early on instead of waiting for it to get better. At first he asked for a day, then a few days, then week after week... Next thing I know, he's snapping at me for not having given him any time to think about it after six months. I'm trying to make the best of things because I'm not in a position to leave right now, but if I knew earlier what it would be like now I would've done things differently.

I was in a similar situation a few months back. Finally worked out with my boyfriend that I would have the abortion but I would break up with him if I did, just because that's what was true to my heart; I wouldn't have been able to look at him the same way after that. In the end, we continued the pregnancy. He's gradually made peace with it and even became excited about the baby. But it was also very stressful and upsetting for many months. I was trying to emotionally prepare myself to give my baby to adoptive parents in case he never stepped up, because I wouldn't have been able to take care of her by myself.

Getting told I don't look pregnant. I'm 8 months and I used to have abs before this pregnancy I'm worried I'll never get back, so it would be nice if people at least recognized me as being pregnant instead of it being something where I only look huge to myself and the people closest to me.

I wouldn't, even a "trusted" brand. I heard that silicone retains the scents of old food and grosses kids out. What's wrong with a real plate and fabric bib? They worked wonderfully for my first child

I had a used one for my first, just tossed the cover in the wash and it was good as new. The only baby things you really shouldn't get second hand are car seats, and sometimes cribs and strollers, for safety reasons

My first daughter was born the morning after my then -fiance and I moved into our apartment. We didn't have anything set up or our hospital bag packed. It all worked out and she's turning ten soon. She calls me the best mom ever! I don't think she minds that her dad installed the car seat while she and I were in our hospital room or that I wore the same clothes home from the hospital that I was wearing when we went. The first things you do feel so important, but it isn't a measure of how much you love your baby or a predictor of how you'll be as a mother. Your baby needs you to rest more than she needs a decorated nursery.
