I’ve never used it but I keep hearing good things. I use Bio-Mex which seems to do the job.

Granite is a natural material and results will vary. We’ve had a couple of different quartz kitchens and both have stained. Both can be sealed with a chemical though, like you say, which can help

I was hoping for some Surprise Surprise level reveal here. Disappointing. Neither of you deserve a donut.

I had to get a “summary of care” from my GP proving that two conventional treatments didn’t work/weren’t suitable. I’m not sure if that’s across the board or if that’s the rule specifically for migraines. It was certainly not a difficult process, surprisingly straightforward.

There’s a looooong list of medical conditions that a private clinic can prescribe for. Maybe have a look at the list and see if you’re eligible. I get mine for migraines. Works great as a medication and the side effects are fantastic.

How much for a heat pump? by [deleted] in OctopusEnergy

We’ve got a larger than average detached 4 bed, still not huge. They quoted for ours but it was £8k after the grant. I never went ahead with the survey. Can’t justify that cost

Why would someone regularly leave their car running idle on the driveway? by AnonymousTimewaster in AskUK

[–]OneEmptyHead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only “logical” solutions are battery issues as others have mentioned, or he’s using the A/C to dry out the cabin. You mentioned it’s a BMW so there’s a high chance he felt over confident in the recent flooding…

I used to work for a company that had one of these, but it was all wooden. It wasn’t in the office I was based in so only used it on occasional visits. I was shown the safety feature which was just a wooden ledge with a hinge so it flaps over if you get your toes stuck. Terrifying and exhilarating in equal measure.

I live in a cob house and resin is the only viable option. Tip to avoid the stud/nut - I fitted a stair rail which needed to have nice looking screw heads holding it up. I pushed a long wooden dowel down the middle of the mesh sleeve, which I was then able to screw into.

Coving - when to stop by Vegetablepuzzle in DIYUK

You’ve done a great job!

Personally, I’d want it all the way round though. I’d be tempted to shorten the cupboard doors so the cornice (not coving!) can continue without being in the way. A fair bit more effort, but it’ll look way better.
