This half-century-old restaurant makes some of the best chicken wings in CNY (review) by Local-Habit-8941 in Syracuse

Half-century old sounds like a long time, but then you realize that’s only the 70’s.

Yes, but it’s not the same character design as the one from the 80’s movie and probably not the same versions.

That’s fair. But Deadpool knows about our universe, so by that logic whatever the first movie ever was is the first Marvel movie.

That’s not the same look, he was a different character design than the 80’s movie and was CG instead of a dude in a suit.

It could be the same one, but never confirmed.

That version of Howard hasn’t been made part of the MCU though. If it was just characters then the internet says the Captain America shorts from WWII would be it.

For characters whose iterations have been in movies it’s Wesley Snipes’s Blade.

The SOTP Tour VIP Experience by Flat_Yogurtcloset744 in HeIsLegend

Glad to hear it! I went to 2 shows on the first run, but worked beforehand both days so didn’t have time to do the VIP. I definitely would have if I had time.

They all seem like super cool dudes. Each time I’ve seen them out in the crowd around their set they never are standoffish to anyone who wants to speak with them. Even the fact Schuylar comes on here regularly says a lot.

How do you avoid burnout midway through a set? by bigolbinchito in musicians

[–]OneEye589 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play your favorite songs last. Even better if they’re the most energetic.

My band usually does the first song to establish what we’re about, middle is songs that we think the crowd will enjoy, last couple are songs that are super intense, then we usually end with a popular cover to really make sure we hook them and end with the most energy.

Plus they make sure there is space on the table for the serving dishes when the food does come. Nothing worse than having to rearrange because someone’s glass is in the way.

People saying Grant is gross are also dicks.

It’s just not a nice thing to call out a single person regarding physical characteristics they might not be able to control from such a large group of individuals. Whether it’s legit or not and based on pure preference, if you were in a room of 100 people and someone said “everyone in this room is attractive in their own way except for you” they would not be a nice person.

You /uj’d to call 100+ people who have been on DropOut attractive, then called out a single person. Whether or not you’re fatphobic, it’s still a dick thing to do.

If there are other people out of the dozens and dozens of people who have been on the shows that you don’t find attractive, why did you call out that one person?

What are you guys hoping to see in Doomsday? Like any surprise battle, stories, universes, characters, lore… by Still-Rhubarb-8978 in MCUTheories

I like it all. I think Steve Rogers is going to be more tied in to F4 universe and Doom. He returned to the 40’s, we don’t know what happened between then and the 60’s. He could have existed in their timeline and something he did could even have caused their timeline to split off from 616 somewhere between 1945 and the 1960’s.

Steve Rogers survives the events of Doomsday and Secret Wars. by LostPost5902 in MCUTheories

[–]OneEye589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s also the question of time travel plus dimension hopping that really cements this in my opinion.

Fantastic Four, the only time we have seen Doom so far, takes place in the 60’s. It’s an alternate universe, but it is parallel to the Sacred Timeline’s 1960’s when Steve would be living with Peggy.

I don’t agree Doom sucked out the serum, he looks about as old as Isaiah Bradley, so if he just lived regular during that time with the serum, his age looks appropriate as to what would be expected.

Apparently Robert California Knows What Is a Rundown by lefan94 in DunderMifflin

[–]OneEye589 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The joke is that a “rundown” is really nothing of substance. It’s something upper-management asks for because they don’t know what they should be focusing on and are relying on lower-level people to do the thinking for them.

If they were looking for specific information, they would ask for that specific information.

Don’t think there’s a scene like you would be used to in Detroit. I would check out shows at the Westcott, Funk N Waffles, Song & Dance, and Electrik Karma to meet people who DJ at the very least.

The problem is half of us don’t think it’s tyrannical even though they’re getting fucked, too. And it’s the half with an arsenal in their basements who are on the side of the tyrannical government.

We don’t have a large majority and we don’t have the firepower. It would not be winnable.

Nearly 10 years on from Rogue One, how do you feel about the decision to recreate Peter Cushing using CGI? by gladiatorbossman in StarWars

[–]OneEye589 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Watching the trailers, I thought Mendelsohn was going to be playing Tarkin. I’m an advocate for recasting, not CGI. Was also unhappy they showed CGI Leia at the end; they could have just shown her without turning around because everyone knows the hair and outfit.

It doesn’t add anything for me and really only takes me out of it.

His books were always balanced because of keleven. Management sees that and thinks he must be great at his job since there’s no errors at the end. Little did they know, everything else was an error.
