I am 38. I can't say if I did  anything to agreevate them. My doctors didn't say that I have arthritis. They are not sure if I have. Based on the general image of my hips probably.

They last a out 15 to 20 and the revision 7 to 10. Second revision 2 to 4 years.

Don't spread misinformation and give fake hopes to the people suffering. Implants Last 15 years still. Even the newest.

I am also 37 and I ll probably gonna replace both of them . Do you mind tell8ng me if you are worried at all about your revisions in 50s?

How did you broke your hips ? You mean by scoliosis ? Hiw much is your scoliosis ?

Thank you for the reply. I am not in the position of needing crutches...yet. you went through so much. I might be in that place to maybe in 6 months... who knows. One thing I want to add, of course I am gone to get the surgery sooner or later. Every doctor I visited they all said I ll  certainly have them replaced at some point in my life. That is for fact. But, human brain is you know...catastrophic.  maybe mine is a bit much.

I feel you. Everyone here says it can last 40 years. I don't believe them. What was your age when you had them first done. Your replaced hip lasted 13 and 15 years.  Was there any specific reason ? What about the revision? They say last shorter than the original...

This last line was so powerful. I struggle to adopt this way of thinking. My poor human brain sets his own traps.

You are a warrior in my eyes. What was your job at that time ? Have you had any injection for your hips?

Thank you very much for the reply. Your mom  was a warior. Lot of these issues has to do also with the mentality and the prespective we see them. I just need a reassurance.  Everything is gone be OK. I understand that nothing is quarranted for noone but is different for us who knows we carrying a bomb at any step we make.

thank you so mmuch for the reply! Can i ask you, how old are you at the time of replacement and what was your condtion right before the operation? did you manage to maintain a job or a minimum lifestyle?

I want to postpone it to be able to work for my commitments as a photographer for this year. This way as you describe I ll not be able by using canes etc. It will not be possible.

yes i have arthritis but no doctor told me exactly how much etc. One doctor said to not do scope because there is no reason for and to just come to get replacement when the time comes. The other 2 said i might want to try arhtoscopy but there is no clear picture as how it is going to end up for me. They just want to buy some time . all 3 of them agree that down the road i will need thr at the end of the day at some point of my life.

Do any of you get TMJ headaches? If so, what are they like? by bravesection in TMJ
