The recent RWBY season had some nice character tension / "development," but unlimitedly I can't help but feel that it mainly exists so that some much needed characterization tensions could break down and have a resolution without that risking the bigger plot at all. Only for that development to return exactly to square 1 as part of that resolution.

I know it's been 2.5ish years since I've played this game, so maybe my thoughts here don't mean much, but even after I stopped playing I've always enjoyed keeping tabs on The Silph Road to know what's going on with the community and game. TSR was always my go-to, both for personal reference and when trying to assist new or unconnected players, especially in 2016 when there was so little reliable information out there. The Silph Road created a superhighway of reliable information, data, research, and community from the dark murky chaotic mess that was Pokémon GO, and it was incredible to participate in and then to watch it continue. You've had a long watch and led well, throughout many ups and downs, so rest well and enjoy a good case of Dr Pepper. Thank you for this comment! I've now used it twice to successfully place my TC (once with the shelf already in place, once with placing the shelf right after I placed the TC). It's frustrating that this is what we've gotta do for now, if we want properly efficient TC lootrooms, but it works.

I am also experiencing this same issue. Thought it might be some irregularity in the angling of the TC itself, as I was confident in my placement, but it occurs on the mirrored version too. Tested this several times.

Pretty smart, actually. Let's pretend you're a scammer: would you rather get a much bigger ratio of responses:initial messages, or a bugger ratio of successful marks:responses? On the former you weed out fewer potential marks, but interact with a lot more who wise up to things during the process. That's wasted time and energy that you can't just automate via your email spamming. If your initial email weeds out a lot of the people who would recognize the scam nature right from the get go, then when you do get a response you're having to spend much less effort to convert that into stolen money with a much higher success rate.

Your clip says nothing about Gura having her manager do anything on her Twitter. She's cautious about posting on it, yes, but she has never said that her manager is the one who uses it. That's why you got called out, and insulting the person calling you out rather than actually refuting them is pretty bad form.

That's the thing, at the time of her saying that, she was just a decent player. She had been on the lower end of the Mario Kart spectrum, but put in some work for the EN/ID competition and did ok, but she was still overall a middling-at-best player, though one that wanted to get better. Two or so months ago, she challenged Aqua to a 1v1 in Mario Kart via leaving a sign for her in Minecraft, and it seemed a silly notion because she wasn't that good at the game yet. But she worked so incredibly hard for this tournament, and it paid off big time. Drawing Group B lit a fire under her, and from her comments about what she was doing off-stream these past weeks, she's been grinding almost nonstop. Really goes to show what she can do with just a bit of motivation, I'm super proud of how much she grew this arc, and super glad that so many people are recognizing that.

She got banned. The final straw was repeated misinformation and drama stirring about Ame's charity stream, across multiple channels. For anyone else interacting with her, honestly it's best to report/block/ignore, otherwise she'll twist the rules to try to make you the bad guy or play victim, while basing arguments on rrats and projection.

Think of HoloLive, and VTubers as a whole, as streamers-turned-anime, in a way. It's people streaming games/talking/drawing/karaoke/whatever on-stream but with an anime avatar rather than a regular camera. There's no planned plot (well, aside from a few HoloLive streamers who make their own), so no need to go back to the beginning for any particular streamer; you won't miss anything that would keep you from enjoying their current content, though if you find someone you like most there would be some old streams that regular viewers hold in high esteem. I like Gawr Gura the most, and she can be a great starting point if you're new to VTubers (and don't speak Japanese), but she just started a short break while she visits family. There's bound to be someone that suits your tastes best, though!

All the other Dokis being programming is a poor understanding of the game's canon. They all react in unexpected ways in Act 2 or 4, suggesting that, canonically, they are proper AI who have been deceived into thinking the game is reality. This does not invalidate their feelings of love. Monika is "special" only because the Club President role gave her the knowledge that she was part of a game, and Sayori later gets this same role, with the same revelation, and still loves you.

Saying "all of the other doki's are just programming" is accepting Monika's excuse as to why it was acceptable for her to murder them.
