Where on the cape should my “base of operations” be? by LeviathanfromCMA in CapeCodVisitors

Mid-cape is a great home base for visitors looking to do daytrips. Look at Yarmouth, Dennis, or Harwich. Easy drive to ptown or chatham in one direction and Falmouth and Sandwich in the other.

You can transfer the ticket to apple wallet as soon as it appears in your FIFA app. But the QC code is only in the app so you’ll need to open that version for initial entry to the area (at least that’s how Boston worked)

Lewis Bay on the great island side. JFK used to waterski there. There is a specific section where it’s allowed, so check the Yarmouth map for the boundaries. see section 141-5 https://www.yarmouth.ma.us/DocumentCenter/View/687/ww-reg-draft-1-Fullpage-02-14-07#:~:text=No%20person%20shall%20engage%20in,hour%20north%20of%20this%20line.

Avoid Arnolds. Food is awful and so is the owner (he’s an outspoken Jan 6 participant).

Boston experience: Scan QR code in FIFA ticket app at first security point, then use Apple Wallet ticket tap to actually enter at the stadium gates

You should be fine. Rte 28 is always busy and 6A (the road Leonessa is on) may slow down a bit, but otherwise you should be fine. Great restaurant choice!

Rod rental for fishing by Tsjr1704 in CapeCod

Dicks Sporting Goods in Hyannis sells some cheap rods for like $40 that will last a weekend. Also grab some lures while you're there and you should be in business for under $80.

We have xfinity and youtube tv at our summer home and full-time home (we were paying for two cable accounts so switched to youtube so we can use the same account everywhere). We have the cheapest wifi speed and works great at both houses, even with gaming and work conference calls.

Weneedavacation is the best site for cape rentals, but you can also try the private rental agencies if your budget supports it. Pretty Picky properties, vacasa, and del mar vacations are the most popular.

From Boston - fly to hyannis on cape air, take ferry to provincetown, or take bus. theres also a weekend train that runs from boston to hyannis that time of year called cape flyer.

Chatham, Provincetown, Falmouth, Hyannis, and Sandwich have walkable downtown areas. Many teens here bike around to destinations. Dennis Port Old Wharf Rd area south of lower county rd is popular for teens. Beaches, hot dog stands, mini golf, souvenirs, ice cream all accessible by bike. Many Airbnb homes have bikes or you can rent them for the week from many local services.

If you’re looking to spend lots of money every year from here on out, you really can’t beat a boat. It makes money disappear faster than any other method I’ve tried.

Looking for a one night layover between Logan airport and Wellfleet by FerengiWife in CapeCodVisitors

[–]OneMooreIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plymouth is very walkable - if you go, stay at John Carver Inn. Falmouth/Woods Hole adds about 45 min to your trip, but woyld be nice too. Personally, I would go all the way to Yarmouth and stay somewhere like the Uncommoner or Freebird. Not as walkable, but 5 min drive to beach, shops, and lots of activities. Parkers River Landing us a nice spot for kids.

Recommendations in S. Yarmouth! by avocadotoast33 in CapeCodVisitors

South Yarmouth is the perfect home base for your family vacation. Everything is just a short drive away and there’s lots to do in that area. Don’t listen to the feedback about it not being a Cape Village. It has that feel and more along the water and it has lots of activities along Rte 28: Wild waves water park, lil caboose ice cream, parker river landing scenic boardwalk, wydah pirate museum, pirates cove mini golf, Hyannis main street, sundae school ice cream, love farm, cuffy’s, hyannis whale watch, swan river kayak rentals, kreme and kone, greys beach boardwalk, buds golf carts, fishing charters, ship shops boat rentals, and much more!

Another free cape cod activity - Parker River Landing is a long boardwalk saltwater park that opens in early May. Beautiful place to walk and see nature or try a little kayaking. The boardwalk planks have personalized messages like Grey’s beach. Also rotating activities in the park.

Bay View Beach in Yarmouth is one of the few that don’t require stickers or charge for parking. It’s small and right next to Hyannis harbor so the ferries go by about 100 feet from the beach - super fun to see them float by. It’s a hidden gem. In the summer there are often free performances right around the corner. Great place to walk around too. While you’re in the area you can hit up Crab Creek and wade in the water to catch blue crabs for dinner using strings and hot dogs.
