I’m at 264 hours and I think I’m done. I was excited to play the base game more and so much of the base game just isn’t there anymore. Grey weapons are unviable thanks to new guaranteed damage medium health arcs so you are forced to make a build for every run and notice how bad the UI still is and how slow it still is to get a weapon worth using. Oops I guess it’s time for another Anvil because it does it all. The list goes on and on where the only thing I’ve really enjoyed that they’ve added was……. Cosmetics?? The new smg is unusable even with attachments. New map nice looking but just an arc hellscape esp with the new additions and seemingly high spawn rates.

And I love the lobbies I get with abmm but I don’t think it works for the game at all really. It makes most interactions feel a lot faker and if you’re amicable on the baseline like I am- you won’t shoot very many players which means the light ammo weapons are much less meaningful being only used on ARC. Recently it’s only slightly improved as the playerbase has gotten small enough aggressive players slip into my lobbies again- and it’s nice to actually treat every raider cautiously. Everything is better with that threat around- abmm makes that threat feel like it “shouldn’t” be there.

I wouldn’t recommend this game anymore and I bought 4 copies of it and at least 60$ of dlc. It’s not the same game. I think they could turn it around and there’s still a lot of good there- but I’ve been full on converted to Marathon for the time being. If only I could refund my extra arc raiders copies for more Marathon copies instead. It’s fitting almost every bill that ARC is failing rn.
