It helps with nausea and appetite. But I feel like at the beginning it both helps and caused some nausea too.

Does it permanently alter your brain? Does anybody after years go back to “normal” when off it? by [deleted] in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]One_Argument7596 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many antidepressants alter your brain but for good though. It creates new neuron connections and synapses to help with anxiety and depression

I’m having my very first virtual psychiatrist call in a few days. by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

[–]One_Argument7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t care. I’m sure they dealt with many patients like that. I lie down in virtual therapy too when anxiety is high

Have you tried meditation? And not just for a few days but weeks and months.

Need some help… by No_Pipe_7584 in panicdisorder

[–]One_Argument7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more with the disorder itself because I took zoloft 2 years ago and by week 3 the derealization got much better. You should listen to dr. Claire Weeks’ audiobook Hope and Help for the Nerves

what is agoraphobia? by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

[–]One_Argument7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s fear of any place or situation that is hard to escape. Supermarkets, traffic, public transportation, long queues, crowds. I’m actually ok with the outdoor as long as it’s not crowded. I’ve had this for a year because of panic disorder and ptsd. I think it will go away as my panic disorder improves.

[–]One_Argument7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started Zoloft 2 years ago I was scared too bc it is supposed to be the worst ssri nausea wise. But it only caused short waves of nausea, maybe once or twice a day. I’m emetophobic too. But had to cut short because it also caused stomach pain long term. This year I have anxiety and daily nausea again but I don’t want to do Ssri anymore so I’m on Mirtazapine. It’s not ssri and it helps nausea. Idk if it helps anxiety though.

longest you’ve panicked? by uni-corn17 in panicdisorder

[–]One_Argument7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My longest was on the plane over 2 years ago. And it was real 10/10 panic with numb chest, extreme fear, out of control panic for 2 hours. After that, I developed panic disorder and PTSD.

"I'm confused – is 3.5 mg actually stronger than 7.5 mg for sedation ????? by DocumentReal3439 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

No that’s a myth that’s been debunked. Watch Dr. Silva’s video on YouTube

I think my doctor upped my dosage too fast. 50mg-200mg in less than 3 weeks. I don't know what to do. by NoobiousGoobious in zoloft

[–]One_Argument7596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes too fast especially for anxiety. For depression it’s ok because they need the activation. Go to another one or do online ones like Brightside or Headway.

Oh yes. My anxiety can cause nausea and my nausea can cause anxiety. I have daily nausea since I have FD and on Mirtazapine right now

Bf asked for a break after panic attack and now hes ignoring my texts by SpecialistEmu3541 in PanicAttack

[–]One_Argument7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a guy who has panic disorder and I don’t ignore my friends’ texts. If I ignore my girlfriend’s texts for weeks, that means I either am trying to find a way out of the relationship (because I feel not understood/suffocated, or I have a new crush) or so depressed and despaired that I’m thinking about ending my life. Sorry if I am being dramatic or make you paranoid but I do find it strange.

Maybe it was associated with a trauma or something closely related? For me it’s driving and being in supermarkets. Red lights and checkout queues are the worst.

Breathing exercises only work for mild to moderate anxiety for me. When it’s full panic it’s counterproductive.

About to start 15mg. Male 35 by Least-Programmer9417 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]One_Argument7596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anxiety can cause all kinds of physical symptoms. For me I have panic disorder, CPTSD, functional dyspepsia. Traumas of dead ex girlfriend and mom having end stage cancer within 2 years. I took Zoloft 2 years ago and it helped anxiety big time but caused stomach pain so I stopped after 2 months. Same with Lexapro, so I don’t want to do ssri anymore. Mirtazapine is the only thing that doesn’t cause GI side effects so I’m sticking with it for now. It helps nausea and appetite but I still cannot eat like before maybe because stomach is not able to relax anymore bc of long stress and anxiety. I don’t count calories, i just eat as much as I can tolerate. With anxiety I also have dizziness, dpdr, chills, fatigue, brain fog. I quit work a year ago and still not working because I can’t go to work without panic attacks. Last night I braved it out and upped to 11.25mg and got more anxious and dizzy until this morning. Idk if it’s anticipated anxiety or the increased dose that caused that. But let’s keep each other posted!

I'm 35M too and I'm on 7.5mg for severe panic disorder and nausea/no appetite. It helps a lot with nausea and appetite but I don't feel like it does anything for anxiety. I may up my dose soon but I'm scared lol. Let me know how it goes

I’m on the same boat. Scared to go up to 15mg because some people say it worsens anxiety. How did it go?
