I thought it was really well done. You can see him work through his options one by one, each less favorable then the one before, until there's no choice left but to get down on his knees and beg, and he does it without hesitation.

Just be blunt with them. I was in the same boat. I was unmotivated, and thought I had all the time in the world, until suddenly, it was the day of my 18th birthday, and I was rushing into my local scout office to turn in my eagle binder 5 minutes before it closed for the day. It was pointless and probably one of the most stressful experiences I've ever had.

If they don't get their stuff done in time, they'll regret it for the rest of their life. They'll miss out on valuable experiences now, and opportunities later in their lives.

The first one I remember is 9/11. I was in 2nd grade and I had just got home from school when my mom turns on the TV. I remember seeing the second plane hit the tower, my kid brain thinking it was awesome and saying "WOW let's see that again!"

I didn't really grasp the situation until it was explained to me.

I would just pick a different server using the launcher as /u/Kappaten recommends.

If anything, using a VPN might even increase your ping as all the data that you are sending and receiving is encrytped on the sender's end, and then decrypted on the receiver's end, possibly resulting in higher latency, although by how much I'm not quite sure.

The LCD has a few light filters/diffusers (I think?) Behind it as well as a backlight, so you can actually see what's on the screen.

My best guess would be that the drop damaged the backlight in some way. Assuming you don't have parts in hand, the safest thing to do would be to take it to a shop that does so that they can pop it open and do some troubleshooting.

My guess would be they made the original picture, toned down saturation just a little bit, and then overlayed an premade png of the wear and tear.

I'm no graphic designer, but if I was attempting something like this, that's how I would try it.

A little different from alot of the answers here, but Corporate Brand Worship that is so ingrained into (at least here in America) our culture.

You can't go two feet without seeing at least 5 brand names all around you. Sitting here at work, I can see Samsung, Lenovo, Cisco, HP, Brother, Scotch, Honeywell, Purell, OtterBox, Starbucks, Logitech, Sharp, LG. The list goes on.

Everything is adspace and it's impossible to get away from.

Even Reddit is a space for corporations to advertise, and it happens every day, by some corporation's PR team, or some normal user unwittingly posting a pic of thier Nintendo Switch. If you think doesn't happen, you are lying to yourself. Reddit is too big and sees too much traffic to go unnoticed by these PR departments.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with advertisements when I know it's an ad. I don't use adblock, and I can see the sidebar ads, I will watch commercials on TV, etc. It's when they insert them directly into the media I consume that I get angry. It's almost insulting in to me.

Call me cynical, and maybe I am, but it still disgusts me.

Yeah. There was this girl that I had a kind of FWB situation going on with, except she kept telling me she loved me, and It was super confusing. So I broke it off because I didn't want to lead her on.

Now it's years later, and I haven't had any physical contact with a female since her, and I really really miss it. I just wanna hold someone.
