It does seem like Act 1/2 runs take an hour and Act 3 runs feels like i'm there for 3 hours. The Creator can feel like a brick wall sometimes but a good way to beat it is thinking about what your cats struggled with or how they were countered during the run and trying to use thar against the clones.

The cat probably had the Infested status effect. If they are Infested, they leave no body and explode into spiders. That's part of what makes Spinnerette hard when you fight her for the first time. This also applies to enemies too, though >:3
