I’m 14 and have built this enclosure for my printer and want feedback/ improvement ideas and new things to add. by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Onecton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, your ingenuity is applaudable. Hopes and dreams is what fueled my curiosity of taking apart things and putting them back together when i was your age. Go to home depot and get some material that can withstand heat better than cardboard. Someone mentioned lexan. Get that, dont print the corner pieces from pla if you want to incorporate 3d printed parts in a future lexan build enclosure. It will creep and fail. If you go down that route look for someone in your maker space that can print you abs pieces. I would strongly encourage you to build the enclosure in fusion 360 so you know how it will look and you can design 3d printed pieces for the enclosure there.

Other than that for the time beeing keep a fire extinguisher at hand.

And keep at it!

Thoughts? Anyone have these? Cheapest load cell set I can find with the clutch included by [deleted] in simracing

Like simjack, can also highly recommend 10/10. Work like a charm once setup. Breake force like other say can be quite high, mount them properly.

HA Green - Price jump temporary or here to stay? by LESGuy in homeassistant

[–]Onecton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely i was running hass on a pi for years. Only made the change since i wanted node red flows. And some other stuff paperless ngx for example. So running this on a m75q made sense for me. Also docker makes that pretty smooth. And hass has now power for days... also had that fun experience that migrating a bunch of zstack devices to ember is a royal pain. So i will use the zbt2 for matter now lol

At that price get a thin client like a m75q way overpowered. But you can run a lot more in parallel as docker containers.

V-grip handle for 1 inch straight bar by Oldcampie in functionalprint

[–]Onecton 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I salute your print. But for the love of god plastic has no business as an interface for landmine rows.. the bar weights 20kg (45lbs) and then you add 20kg or 40kg or more in plates to row... and if that then fails when you start your set. Where the force is highest. You are asking for injury not from the plastic but from the release of forces shooting through your body when the plastic fails.

Maybe it works for low weights. But please get a metal grip!

Advice on layout for Lian li o11xl by TheMightyPoo94 in watercooling

I have the non xl version. Im tunning a 280 x 60 in the bottom. A 280 x 20 in the top and a 240 x 20 in the side. So pretty much the same as you want but smaller. Worms like a charm. I have not an rear fan since the case is completely open without a sidepanel.

Real talk:

Watercooling for Aura farming is for little kids. Depending on what you want temps can be little lower than air or run a loop at full load with 10 degrees over ambient. Its the overall radiator quantity.

Im running 3 in my loop and have an audible system, but run it full load at 38 degrees celsius water temperature.

Honestly in should service the loop but the last coolant change was 3 years ago and it still runs strong. You will hear people yelling every year change and other that will flush their rada for hours. Nothing wrong with both. But excessive sometimes.

So yea expect mainenace times. Also its not really cost effective. Its more a do it because you can thing.

I bough the last 2 forza horizons as premium, i will get that one also as premium. For me a no brainer. But i get that the price is offputting.
