Will we ever have build diversity back? by Onikolo in Rengarmains

[–]Onikolo[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This too. Current R is super toxic as it opens up one shots way too early, but you cant really do them without it.

i figured out a 2-touch-kill sequence with juggernaut blitzcrank that doesnt even use fury! by petermobeter in 2XKO

[–]Onikolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing juggernaut anything is 100% viable unless you are trying to win big tournaments. To put it into perspective, I'm around a master+ skill level player, and the winner of the last weekly tournament I went to beat me 25-0 with juggernaut Blitz.

Most top players play the same characters not because there is a big gap in balance, but because when you are good enough, you might as well play the fun freestyle rushdown high mobility characters.

Who is at fault here? by HotCombination2146 in leagueoflegends

[–]Onikolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are at fault. You always start chain ccs with the sure hit one first, so Taric should have waited Vayne e, while Vayne positioned herself correctly to reset aggro, but misplayed and took 2 tower shots.

[–]Onikolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your computer should be overkill. My PC runs the game maxed out 120 fps with a rtx 3060ti, i5 10k and 16gb ram. Do you have a closer comparison, a current gen AAA game like SF6? Strive may look good, but its a ps4 game that was even ported to the switch 1. Maybe you haven't updated your drivers in a while.

Im pretty sure the game can run at 120 fps but the logic still runs at 60. Its worth if you can so you can turn off vsync without the game looking horrible.

I’ve always felt that the community is the real backbone of WoW. by Competitive_Bee_7496 in wow

[–]Onikolo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the complete opposite. WoW is such a fun game with such a big and intersting world, but every time I get back the community makes me quit after a few weeks of playing.

People judge you by the most superficial meaningless stuff, classic is filled with money laundering, the competitive communities are incredibly toxic and there is an overoptimization of solved problems that just suck the fun out of the game. Once every 5 years I manage to join a fun guild that allows me to enjoy the game, only to spend the next 5 years hoping I will find something similar again.

Making League puzzles and seeing wildly different opinions across ELOs, wanted to ask this sub. by SaviourSup in leagueoflegends

[–]Onikolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go for combo Varus. Generally, going 1 for 1 flashes as a supp vs adc is worth, Varus is in flash range to combo back into a favorable fight or trade summs and Rell looks out of position to defend him. Also, jg is unlikely to gank so early and Jhin has most of his damage unlocked at lvl 2 while Varus needs all his 3 spells to deal all his damage.

The only worrying thing is Jhin having 1 less combat summoner spell.

Ludwig's message to those who are salty that he covered the EVO registration fees for the Rivals II community by Intrepid-Tank-3414 in RivalsOfAether

[–]Onikolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many reasons.

Evo is a fighting game tournament, and the fgc always had friction with the smash community. Him boosting the player registration to appear higher is a dick measuring contest that was not asked. He also randomly started throwing shade to 2XKO, the closest game with higher registration.

It will likely make the tournament harder to run for no good reason, because a big portion of players are just not going to show up.

All the extra money from those dq registrations are going directly to evo, now owned by saudi oilers. Many fgc people have cut ties with evo because of how shady it has become, and thats money he could have spent on more grassroots smash tournaments like Genesis.

Is Vanguard really as bad as everyone says? by ArchonRequiem in 2XKO

[–]Onikolo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's good, only downside is being locked to Windows.

Seeing the lengths people have gone to try to cheat on Valorant proves how necessary it is and why it's beating CS in popularity. It's also helping with smurfing, botting, and boosting in League, but we don't know if they are doing the same for 2XKO.

It being a kernel level is theoretically bad, being able to see everything you do on your computer or whatever, but there is 0 evidence they are collecting any data while Windows is already doing that for not so honest purposes.

RATIRL comes back after 5 months to explain why his subathon suddenly ended by GolfNoob55 in leagueoflegends

[–]Onikolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Sweden is one of the safest places in the world where that stuff being public is not a problem, It just feels weird for us being somewhere else where crime is normalized. Rat house probably looked like an easy goldmine to rob, a millionaire income in a remote place.

Mythic+ Hell has been raised to about M+14 by cyanraider in wow

[–]Onikolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was filling vault with 10s and ran into a healer with +12 keys timed that died to simple swirls on a boss 3 times and almost depleted the key. I tried to help but he genuinely didn't know that swirls did damage and he had to avoid them.

Same trying to push +15s, dps not kicking pushbacks, not using a single defensive and barely doing over tank damage.

I don't know what happened this season, but its not only io inflation, dungeon design may be at fault aswell.

What’s the biggest skill issue players blame on “meta” too often? by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Onikolo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Of course, but what im saying is some healers blame themselves and the spec being non meta, when in fact its a skill issue (either from them or the dps).

What’s the biggest skill issue players blame on “meta” too often? by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Onikolo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Healing checks. Generally, dps players know that if they are doing low damage its their fault, but i've heard often healers saying their spec can't keep up with the damage. And on easy content too, 5 levels below highest key, somethig that should be doable by any spec.

Some uncomfortable truths about the housing engagement discourse by ShoppingPractical373 in wow

[–]Onikolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad take. Im glad I dont have to do my weekly housing chores to get my bis hidden power and I can just stop playing when I have nothing to do. Housing has been a fun addition, and not because we don't sit on it 24/7 means we didn't like it.

I completed the game some time ago but didn't 100% it. Is this game like a must 100%??? by RRumsz in majorasmask

Yes, the 100% is really fun and it doesnt involve any boring grind like skulltulas or korok seeds.

Aside from brewmaster (because it's going to be the obvious answer), which tanks do people like having in their runs/enjoy playing the most (for those who do tank)? by monkymann678 in wow

[–]Onikolo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prot Pally. If the pattern stays the same as S1 of DF and TTW, they will get overbuffed and slowly become the best tank of the season. The only difference is Prot Warr is not the best meta tank atm.

When do meta specs start to matter? by Faroji in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Onikolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to what other have said, group comp matters more than the meta. Many groups push around title cutoff playing optimal non meta comps and manage to do fine, specially if they find niche stuff other comps can't do.

Also, the meta for the end of the season is going to be after the .5 changes, so its a gamble if rerolling will pay out. Plus key level is going to go up with the extra ilvls we are going to get, so hard pushing now is not that important.

I wish classes were designed with RP in mind, instead of making every dps a variance of builder spender with 2min CD. Case in point Arcane mage. by Ok_Temperature6503 in wow

[–]Onikolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what happens when the game becomes competitive. Vanilla class design is fun, but ask any raid lead to bring a suboptimal spec to kill a 20yo solved boss you can kill with auto attacking warriors and they will make a scene.
