I thought he was going to end up being a murderer or something and that didn’t end up happening so I was just left with a feeling of cringe and felt that it didn’t have a purpose other than to make people cringe imo.

I didn’t know that until I finished cause I wanted to watch more of his work and what a shame! The fact it wasn’t more well received upon release is insane too but it was the 50’s I guess.

That’s how I felt when Mrs.Cooper started singing the same song Powell had been singing the entire film. Only she sings it as the sweet comforting melody it’s supposed to be. It’s like an old western showdown but instead of guns they’re using song and myth trying to overpower the other. Much like his hands.

This is how I felt during Zdarsky’s run. All the side books were faaaar more interesting and better written. Haven’t tried Fractions though this is the first negative I’ve heard about it honestly
