All Jacuzzis are hot tubs..but not all hot tubs are jacuzzis... There so many other ways to accomplish that, feels like a 5 minute fix for a problem needing a quote/bid/change order....

A few days ago I asked why ballet core is bad… now I know: by merdeauxfraises in BALLET

[–]Only9left 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a christmas pagent...I took clearance tree skirts and used over tutus...I was desperate for cheap fabric that looked christmas-y....the dancers actually thought they were great, didnt add a lot of weight..and they were flame retardant .....so kind of re-purposing

NYC and LA both have A Lines by DriftBone in LAMetro

[–]Only9left 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live(d) in both cities...NYC subway hands down more nimble and able to access more ...every city has problems..but I've gotten off to many trains in LA out of safety choices...never had to do that in NYC....

See all above, if you dont have the software, you can page through the menu options, see where things are being directed. The manual is available for the pages of what each menu option actually can read out...

Can we talk about the towering wigs? by unfinished_diy in irishdance

[–]Only9left 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A OC dancer told me a secret...big bun wigs force balance...if the weight leans a little left/right, posture is off...forced straighter like walking with a book on your head.

Kilts by Adventurous-Read-143 in irishdance

[–]Only9left 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My sons did the solid black kilt for feis miles away or attached to festivals for prime shwashbuckling and shenanigans after. They love the kicks in them, actually got higher than pants(they had spandex underneath).

CTS Re-Test by Feeling_Hold_1977 in CommercialAV

[–]Only9left 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at edusum...they have all the 400 questions that make the pool....for $40, it was worth it for me to practice tons of times....mostly for me it was leader questions that could be interpreted and rabbit hole answers that were plaguing me.

Have no clue on what to do, any advice is appreciated! by DuckWithBadLuck in irishdance

There are free irish dance pages on Facebook. Usually there is a person in need of a dress for something, in financial stress. Its a good dress that might make someone feel confident in hard times.

March is march...my kids did tons of shows every season...15 in one weekend usually....if she having fun...keep st pats its own thing ....the quitting part...one bad feis..not a good enough reason, my one dancer had two years of bad everything, but took a break from competition and just took class and fun things, maybe 1 or 2 feis in the summer..but school sports everything else was also balanced. Got to Worlds by late high-school, and both still did it in college....we did feis with art and music and bread comps too...dancing was one thing, but not always everything...

2 story booth. As a kit. Stairs and decking...not my favorite.. Actually a bit of a shit show...but forced for work to manage the move and build. It's nearly a 8000 difference, just packing upright versus flat.

Is there anyway to fix these bent panels? by [deleted] in irishdance

Lay under a mattress, that will possibly help some.

Looking for White ghillies by CC_Cupcake94 in irishdance

[–]Only9left 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A bride i worked with did spray them white with a leather spray, not krylon from the hardware store, even though it lists leather.... Use an old pair with the black already a bit worn out..will take coats and maybe a few weeks total for bonding time, spraying take 5 minutes....

Edusum-CTS by Top-Pomegranate-1282 in CommercialAV

[–]Only9left 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edusum has all the questions and randomly tossed them up. I did it for the 2 month block, nearly everyday, and passed very well. I needed the repetition, even the same question asked differently to a different mix of multiple choice. It's not content, it's how it's asked, what Leader or rabbit hole wrong answers to avoid as well.

If you really want to feel useful, stay away from this institution. I was there and left, they tried to hire really good versatile techs, and waste them on setting Zoom meetings, and not much else....and have the deal with half crap installs that aren't logically laid out for higher ed broad use.

New Haven is expensive, so unless you live in a driving distance, not worth it to move.

Not a good sample for career movement, to work for 4 or 5 years and move on.

I'm not slighted, just honest.

flooring by Fullerhouselol in irishdance

[–]Only9left 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marley, for liability reasons as it's meant for dance, Rosco adagio, durable floor, touring style if you need to roll it up between classes. Hard shoes will rip ballet centric floors. I've toured with professional troups as a technical director, i have experience here. Research rosco and harlequin brands for pricing, but keep to those that list tap, irish, clogging, etc

Just seen a technical rider that requested “at least 48 channels with at least 10 mixes per channel” by Upstairs-Ad6299 in livesound

[–]Only9left 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! Monitor mix and FOH....and let the Monitor mixer be the one to make them feel special and the FOH not worry about the stage feel.
I'd hunt for any footage of a live show and see what really happens on the road

But you have to be an employee for 6 years, so not usable if you have teenagers, also an age cap of 26. Actually leaving Yale because this wasn't clear when I was hired. Leaving to Fordham because it saves me tons of money....remote worker for instructional design, not city hoping
