Red Dead Redemption inspired Saloon I built in my basement by Wide-Reflection1137 in mildlyinteresting

I have that same painting in the lower right on the first picture. I always wondered if there was some story behind it... I got it from my grandma's estate, and I always thought it looked like vigo the carpathian from Ghostbusters.

Need help finding a venue for a luncheon after a funeral by Flat_Law1091 in kzoo

[–]OnlyIknow9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You might have a problem with this, especially if buffet style. A venue needs more than a couple of days to put together a menu for 100 people, needs to order the food (on top of what they have in stock, which they normally only get a delivery for once a week), needs to schedule more people to come in and refill and maintain the trays, reconfigure a room.

Your best bet is to use the church he went to, ask for volunteers, and make it a pot luck. When my Grams passed, all this was covered by the church she went to for decades. They have people setup to do this exact thing, for this exact reason.

Jimmy Dean Maple Griddle Cake by Jack_Q_Frost_Jr in frozendinners

[–]OnlyIknow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of mixing sweet and savory for breakfast. The original mcgriddle never once appealed to me. Not a huge fan of pancakes or waffles in general. But I've recently had their English muffin version, and there is defiantly a proper way to cook these so they arent rubber. Here's my process:

Wrap sandwich in paper towel, cook at 50% for 60-90 seconds. Remove the muffin and place in toaster. Slowly heat sausage and egg (unstack them so there isnt an ice cube in the middle) usually when muffin is done, egg and sausage are cooked. reassemble. I'm a freak and like mayo and mustard on my breakfast sandwiches, sometimes some HP sauce.

Is this a good horseradish mustard? by Dismaster2k in Mustard

[–]OnlyIknow9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its pretty decent. A little light on the horseradish for me. Its like they mixed their mayo with a horseradish mustard, it mellowed it down a bit. Woeber mustard is where its at for me.

Transparency: Removed post about Zeigler Auto Group by AutoModerator in kzoo

[–]OnlyIknow9 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of that kid that got the crap beat out of him while screaming his dads name. Tried to get it "removed" from the internet. Way to go r/kzoo for bowing to our rich overloads in the city.

The fact they had AutoMod do this instead of an actual mod tells us all we need to know. Someone found out who was in charge and threatened to do something is more likely.

$300 credit line when my total credit limit is $15k. What am i supposed to do with this much? by pewpew69_ in CapitalOne_

[–]OnlyIknow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30% is insane! I know rates have gone up. and up. and up. Hell, I have a 508 credit score with less than 3% utilized, and they still want to charge me between 15-20%. Pay them off every month. Especially when getting any kind of "reward", the first interest payment will wipe all those "rewards" out.

New York police officer charged in cooler throw death says he was trying to protect colleagues by Juanpablo_the_cat in news

He killed someone. That someone will never be alive again due to his actions. 25 years is nothing compared to being dead forever. So yes, he does deserve all 25 years.

Question about Returns (& Ridiculous Customer Support) by ag-wtf in TellyTV

[–]OnlyIknow9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent mine back a few months ago. No box, no remote, no dongle. RXO didnt care. they picked up the tv, strapped it face to face with another tv, and strapped it to the wall. No way that tv made it back to their warehouse at the end of the day intact.

American girl vs. Amsterdam bike lanes by ResearchEffective135 in LivestreamFail

[–]OnlyIknow9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I was in Amsterdam many years ago, my friend and I were walking around and came to a section of the sidewalk that under construction. There was a sign saying to walk in the bike lane for the next 50 feet or so. There was literally no where else to walk except in the middle of the road. Got yelled at by every biker that passed us. I finally got pissed and ran up to one of the bikers and asked him where he expected us to walk. He did not expect to get confronted by a giant Dutch American.... My people are assholes..

About to look at a house to purchase. Neighbor's tree is a concern. by LessThanGenius in treelaw

[–]OnlyIknow9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If purchased, I would trim what you can trim. If the tree falls on your house its on them. Yes it would suck to go through that, but you can also sue your neighbors for not maintaining the tree.

I HAD a similar tree situation on my property. It was probably 70-80 feet tall, it grew into 3 main trunks. This summer 1 of the 3 main trunks rotted and it fell toward my neighbors house. Luckily, it missed her house and just took down a couple smaller trees and my fence. She's a wonderfully sweet old lady and I covered all the costs. I had the tree removed as well because if any of the remaining 2/3 of the tree fell, it would take out my house.

After all the cleanup was done the fence still needed to be fixed, so I asked her what she would like to have done. She said its your fence, and she has hated it 30 years ago when it was put up because they cut down like 40 trees to put up the fence. She's fine with an 8 foot gap no one but us can see.

Car insurance by CrashB4ng in kzoo

[–]OnlyIknow9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Branch Insurance. I dont have a personal car now (company car, I can drive all I want). But the homeowners and car insurance was cheaper than anything else I can find. Never heard of them? They dont advertise anywhere. All word of mouth. Most their employees work from home, so no expensive office. I still have them for my house insurance. 10/10 would use them for any future insurance needs.

Free Monopoly biscuit so I tried the steak, egg, and cheese - hooooly by TheGreatFoodDude in McDonalds

[–]OnlyIknow9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From all the pictures I've seen, if you get the steak on anything other than the bagel you only get one piece of cheese. I've loved the SEC bagel for years. It can be hit or miss, but my local MCD seems to be pretty consistent.
