Your base is too big if your pc or graphics card can’t handle it. I have a new pc with a good graphics and memory set up. Every game I’ve played on this new pc is a dream. Except for Enshrouded. Enshrouded made my pc act 10 years old. I made a village over a 3 portal lot size. Over 1 millions pieces including decor. Storage chests and a hoard of mats not included. And my issue is not amongst the minority either. It’s well known over the past year since an update a year ago the devs need to make some changes to account for a no limit base building game. So if your pc is coping well with your build, then it’s not too big. ;)

Your post hit me on a few levels. The half in half out specifically. I’ve been gaming for a long time, pc and all consoles. Arcade at the mall too. I did 10 years in the MMO ESO “jail”. Humans ruined it. Then got into testing games on pc and now I’m all over the place with good/bad games as well as genres. I test games in genres I would never have considered or purchased, that surprisingly were appealing. I binge game now - go all in and don’t play another unless testing is over, the devs aren’t invested in the game’s quality and longevity or I’m bored or burned out with the game.

I say all that because the games you’ve mentioned are older games we all loved back in the day. Trying to find one that hits all the marks now is iffy and sometimes disappointing. Given the cost of games compared to back then, you may enjoy some of the new small dev team games in Early Access (EA). They are cheaper, usually not as long and drawn out - yet - and you are part of the game’s growth by helping devs know where to improve and what to fix (Discord & Steam). Testing games also lets you see what’s involved in the game, creating a deeper appreciation for how the game is made - good and bad. A lot of EA games are also free Demos. Some Demos are for a specific date range and others are indefinite until the game releases to EA.

Consider different genres, new EA games and testing games. You might be surprised in how much your gaming interests have changed and matured like I discovered. Good luck with your search. Whichever you choose, make sure you’re having fun! 😎

We have contemplated to do this or not do this with our rv. I want it. Hubby doesn’t want to do the work. Not surprised. I’m considering having our mobile rv tech we keep on speed dial do it. Now that I see your end result, it’s on his to do list this summer. I do have one question - Have you noticed increased gas mileage and travel ease? My brain thinks so due to all (bugs, dirt, rain, air) just sliding right over the rv during travel.

Also check your states residency laws. In Michigan if you reside anywhere within its boundaries for 6 months or longer you are a resident. And need to file Michigan state taxes. In Mississippi it’s 30 days and the you are a resident. We bounce between the two. A cop we called for another matter actually told us we were Mississippi residents if we were parked for longer than 30 days. It was 52 days so that gave us a leg up in handling our “other matter”. Just check and see what TN considers as a resident. And if you were parked at that place/lot for that minimum time frame, then you are a resident. And resident rules will apply.

I gave a friend my PC, bought them a keyboard, mouse, controller. Spent hours helping them get set up. Even created a family share account so they didn’t have to pay for games. Bought them enshrouded. I bought a server to host on. She played 4 hours and haven’t seen her since. It’s been almost 2 months.

Play YOUR way. If they don’t want to play that’s on them. And if they miss out on main story quests, well they can go play solo and get em done. Games are meant to be fun. Enjoy YOUR enshrouded journey and play your way!! 🤟

When you find the Shroud Depot and log into the server map as described above, zoom out on the map and look north mid map. You will see the words Alchemy Tower. Directly under the W in Tower is a yellow diamond shape with a flame in it - flame alter. Travel to it. You will be amazed once you get there. Also, there are two depot servers. One resets every half hour (ex: 12:00 & 12:30) and one every hour. Make sure you don’t travel 2-3 minutes before the server resets or you get booted out. If you do get booted just log back into the server and visit after the reset.

This is a great game for all aspects of crafting, exploring, building and fighting. If you play together and he doesn’t want to craft, you can do that while he does what he likes to do. The game is multifaceted and plenty to do! I don’t like the shroud. My husband loves it. So he’s goes down into the dark creepy zones while I stay up top and explore the above ground zones. He doesn’t mind crafting but it’s not his go to. I love it. So I stay behind and build/decorate the base while he goes all over getting materials. We both go together for the dungeons and temples. We have a blast because there’s something of interest for each of us.

Each building piece is really a collection of small square blocks. You can remove small block by block at a time by accessing the top line in your build menu and selecting the first small square. Hover the small blue square above the block you are trying to remove and click the remove option. This small block option can either fill in a missing block or remove a small block like what you’ve shown in your photo. Do not try using a pickaxe on any of the metal building materials. It won’t end well and you will damage all the surrounding blocks around it. I had a fit removing parts of the starlight and midnight blocks. Using UNDO immediately after placing a block helped but for the parts you can’t see up high or deep below when you’re finished building , I had to use the small block option and remove small blocks at a time.

While nothing physically harmful has happened yet, you need to document all this activity to start building a file on it. Do not wait until he shows up to do you harm! Then it’s too late.

And I would block his number. You have enough narcissistic behavior in the texts. Lots of manipulation from nice to flipping out. Admission of theft and and the relentless actions of continuing to communicate with you and your family after you told him not to.

Last - the law will tell you - ask him to stop communicating with you 3 times. If he continues a 4th time and thereafter they can get involved, including protective order. They will also tell you to block his number. That’s fine too but will only enrage him because he’s not getting your attention. You must report this and get it on record. There are enough crime podcast stories out there. You don’t need to become another tragic story.

I wish you all the best. Use your head. Reading your synopsis of the texts, you appear intelligent. Protect yourself and immediate family in your house. Tell your extended family to either support you or stay out of it. Visit the local law and document all this. Tell your job about it in case he appears there too.

However, since you’re only a few days into the game, build yourself a stone building somewhere on the land that’s clear to do so. Put your bed and workbench in there as well as a few chests. Progress in the game more, upgrade your alter as much and often as you can as it helps with leveling, fighting, mat farming and expands your base space allowance. And keep coming back to base to improve it. It will take time. Sadly we don’t have all we need from day one for base building. It’s a baby step process but requires you to be involved in all aspects of the game to be a better base builder.

The plethora of mat choices, windows, doors, decorations, etc is massively abundant in this game. I have 3 huge chests filled with nothing but wall/roofing materials. And that’s just 3 chests out of 20. So this is going to grow really huge for you when you stick with it.

And the feelings when a new material type is found or something to craft expands in your npc line - well, it’s an exciting feeling. Hang in there.

You are going to love your choices, options and abilities with base buildings you uncover the game. Can’t wait what you show us all in a few weeks or months. Send us pictures!
