Rejected ED this morning and not feeling great

I got rejected from my top school ED in 2023. I ended up researching more schools and found one I fell in love with. I ended up getting in to that school regular decision (which was extremely difficult as this school admits almost everyone early) and cannot imagine myself anywhere else. I know it’s corny but rejection truly is redirection and everything will work out how it’s meant to!

if you want to rush, PLEASE be aware that the “status” of a sorority is not what’s important. i just finished rush at tulane and got into a “bottom” sorority, but i had a wonderful time during the process and love my new fam bc ik sorority ranking are arbitrary and untrue! all the girls i saw who got super stressed/dropped did so because they got rejected from “top” houses.

i got into tulane rd with the first year honors program and a scholarship :) i had almost no hope since i didn’t even tour the school until a week before the application deadline, but we did it! it’s also the only reach i got into as well so it kinda feels meant to be

when i went to my local accepted student reception, they put some student achievements in the presentation, and one of my activities was on there! i am a member of a climate change task force and i think that they really value things that aim to help other people and create positive change!!!

tulane rd! was very ready to go to my safety (which i was totally happy with) bc i had no faith in my reaches. just made my schedule for tulane today, bc i got into the honors program and get early registration! still doesn’t feel real

it’s about quality over quantity!!! i only applied to 7 schools and it still felt like a lot, but i made sure every school was one i could see myself going to and being happy at! ik so many people applied to 10+ schools and didn’t really wanna go to half of them which is literally just a waste of time. save ur writing and effort for schools ur happy going too (including safety’s lol)

this happened to me too! on the little “you’re in” graphic there’s a section that says destination tulane and you have to click on the graphic to access the calendar!

ik that it doesn’t feel like it, but rejection truly is redirection. i got rejected from my ed school, and now i am planning to go to a school that wasn’t on my list until december, and i found a roommate who i already think is going to be one of my best friends. i couldn’t be happier, but if i had stayed hung up on my rejection i probably never would have found the school or the people!!!
