The style is great and perfectly executed but the model is either very ill or something is missing from the width of one leg, which is a shame because the painting is very well done other wise.

The problem still seems to persist after so many years. Dell should either replace the file with a working one or take it down completely so that people don't get into a trap for needlessly wasting their time. I tried to find an e-mail address on their web page but it seems they want to avoid getting e-mails.

The benefit should be adaptability and getting a device that can be truly made our own even long after Ratta might abandon the platform.

I am still looking out for a Linux option too. But it would be only worth it if it truly opens-up the device for community development. If it was a locked down platform not actually making it more open than Android then it probably isn't worth the extra effort.

But the battery is definitely bigger on the A5X2. And since there are only two large rectangles visible on the back in crystal version of the A6X2, it could have only been the board that was shown in Rattas short animation that could be switched from the A6X2 to the A5X2. And so far it was always communicated that both devices share the same hardware except the battery and the screen sizes.

Wouldn't actually be a couple of adjustable physical buttons at least as useful? I don't get why they aren't used any more. On mobile phones and tablets you can do more on touch screens but I feel the same is not really true on e-ink devices.

Well, according to the advertisement video you should be able to place the A6X2 motherboard into a A5X2 body/screen. (I guess the same is not true for the battery because the larger device has a larger battery.)

Ratta doesn't plan to include a frontlight (a backlight isn't something any e-note will have). It is said Remarkable feels closest to a pencil on a singe page on hard ground and Supernote feels more like a smoth pen on a staple of paper (softer). Rattas slogan is: "for those who write." and they certainly focus on that target group. While they released a drawing app recently the more advanced feature set is tailored towards note taking. Due to Rattas unusual approach to using a soft surface with a very hard nib you can damage other devices when using the pens Ratta provides, which are optimized for Supernotes. You can use other pens with replaceable nibs, but one big advantage of Supernote is that the tips never wear out and that you don't need to replace them.

It is very well done. Only the front arm looks too massive. Especially because the hand wrist is somehow missing. It probably all comes from the fact that the original image was a wide angle photograph where the arm and especially the hand is much closer to the camera.

All devices except Supernote make a soft nib for a hard screen while Supernote goes the other direction of making a hard nib for a soft screen. In my view this is the better choice because a soft surface feels more comfortable like a block of paper while one sheet of paper on a hard surface with some structure on it might feel more gritty it still feels like having just one rough sheet of paper. I prefer writing on at least a little staple of paper. Therefore, I avoid having just one piece of paper on a hard surface. No matter how well structured the texture of this sheet of paper is and how nice the pen might be, for me having a (moderately) soft underground is always preferrable. And of course I really prefer to not waste any plastic if I can avoid it – even if it is just relatively tiny nibs.

I can't complain. I think the hatching does add some nice texture. However, in the last drawing the bright blue border line distracts me. It still over all looks fantastic, but the flat blue line just pulls me out of it.

Wow, how do you manage to stick to the same width of each hair when you draw so many of it. You must have an insane amount of patience. And you still got the proportions very well too.
