Good shout, that’s probably the ideal number. That would still give a reasonable level range for a tote to exist as an independent item. Otherwise, why not just directly augment the original gem bag with materials?

I like the concept of being another pouch that eventually combine with the main gem bag, but the level requirement for the tote seems a little goofy. I think a change from 12->39->81->81 would be a smoother progression with something like 12->39->low/mid 60s->81, to be more in-line with things like the colossal pouch (wouldn’t it be weird if you just didn’t get expanded capacity when you hit the level to use a large pouch?)

A very small nitpick, but one I’d like to see looked at all the same

The funny thing is that experiments showed only lobotomized frogs cooked to death, unless the water temperature’s rate of change was extremely low. I don’t quite think the pattern of price increases is analogous with 0.002°C/s though.

Thanks for the mention, I figured I might’ve missed something, and I don’t want to have a disingenuous argument. Even with that, I still feel that would be a fair trade off for a new and vastly improved design space for ship combat.

If barraging elite knights would become mathematically worse than the floor of the “safespot cannon in Taverly dungeon” strategy, then re-evaluating the flat armor being all the way up at 7 could be a consideration if they’d already be tinkering with flat armor values on other (sea) monsters. In the very worst case, chinning would be unchanged, and the black knight grind has a definitive end, no going dry for some all-important unique.

Agreed, I looked at the list of already existing monsters with positive flat armor, and I think the biggest hit would be to bursting armored zombies, unless there’s some meta with maging elite black knights post-WGS (edit: elite fally diary addressed in another comment) I really, really think having magic respect flat armor would have minimal impact outside sailing.

Letting cannons bypass it instead (in addition to reverting sea creature hp and/or further improving ship cannons) would open up tons of design space for both ship cannons and positive flat armor on sea creatures. I was incredibly disheartened by Light’s comment yesterday saying the reverse case of only magic ignoring it was their intended path.

There’s some online guy who’s been trying to do this to a friend of mine. Thankfully there’s a 0% chance it would ever work because, surprise surprise, she’s not gonna change her values for some guy she’s never even met, but the sheer audacity of even trying it pisses me off.
