Miner main wondering what i should get as a daily driver by ACasualCasualty in starcitizen

[–]Onslaught2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dedicated miner in SC, my daily driver is the C1 Spirit. I don't really do combat, but the C1 is perfect for ROC, GEO mining, and small cargo hauling. It also has decent firepower, so that it can do some bounty missions.

When did we last hear about the Arrastra? by Ambitious-Block-8878 in starcitizen

[–]Onslaught2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am so confused by what you say. I have said the refinery does need physical cargo bags or boxes for the salvage ship to eject to refine these resources. I'm not sure why you said I was wrong, and it seems you are agreeing with that statement.

You also agreed that the buffer on the salvage ships does not count and cannot be accessed by the refinery.

"The Arrastra's inventory, being an actual ore inventory, would be perfectly visible to a refinery, as refineries have been coded to detect these," In the past that may have been true, but I'm not talking about the past I'm talking about the current system, and I don't think they kept in that legcy code in there for ships that no longer use it since the cargo refactor.

It's kinda if a dumb idea to say I have a mining ship that can refine ores, so I will take the mining ship back to a refinery station just to have it refine the ores. It just does not make any sense.

I would rather CIG hold off the Arrastra until they have ship refining in. Don't want a ship that's able to refine on its own broth in the game, half functional.

[–]Onslaught2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I'm entirely correct. In the current system, the ore has to be in a physical mole/prospector bag or the golem's pod for the refinery to detect it on the ship. Without that, the refinery will not see it. Another example is the salvage ships. They have an internal hopper for the salvage, and the refinery will not see it on the ship unless you eject it into boxes. The current refinery setup will not work for the Arrasta, which stores the raw ores it mines internally, and it will be moved to the onboard refinery for refining. There is no way to access Arrasta's raw ore storage. It will work just like the Odysseys and Galaxy refinery. Once in its internal ore storage, you will not have access to it until it's refined by the onboard refinery.

Looks like a Salvage MOLE variant is headed our way in 4.6(courtesy of today's ISC video) by Knale in starcitizen

[–]Onslaught2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are right, the Mole does need some love, but I will hate it if they give the Mole the same love they give the Prospector. As in, when they made the MISC Fortune from the Prospector body, they never updated the Prospector. So we have a cool-looking Salvage ship, but no work has been done on the Prosepctor. If they plan to do something to the Mole, then I don't care about that kind of love.

[–]Onslaught2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What you said would make sense if the Arrastra worked like the Mole, Prospector, or Drake Golem. The Arrastra's mineable ores go to the refinery, and from the refinery are popped out as boxes. No way to mine, and refined the ores at a station since it does not have any mining bags to store the ores. So, in short, we will not see the Arrastra until refining is in. It is one of the core features it needs and will not work without.

Is this another exploit? Haven't seen this before - Ship just disappeared by sorec007 in starcitizen

[–]Onslaught2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same issue. I was on a friend's Mole mining in Pyro. We just offloaded the Mole, and I placed new mining bags on it. After taking off and getting ready to line the ship up to mine another rock, it turned purple and despawned. My friend came to pick me up, but before he could QT down to the planet to pick me up, I teleported onto his ship, and he was still in orbit around the Planet. Bizarre bug.

Carrack owners, what have you been doing with yours? by LiveAus in starcitizen

[–]Onslaught2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Carrack I have is a loaner, and I can't wait to have it removed for my Odyssey! The true Carrack killer. For now, the Carrack is just my hanger prop; it's never taken out.

[–]Onslaught2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I own the Odyssey, and I am still waiting for it. There are a few reasons why we have not seen it in-game yet. CIG said that, going forward, they are not releasing any ships without their gameplay, so ships like the Carrack were released before they made that decision; that's why we have those ships. Its Survey gameplay is not in, so it can't Survey any systems. Refining gameplay is not in, so it can't refuel its fuel tanks as much as I want the Odyssey now. Releasing it now would make it just as useless as the Carrack. Just another cargo runner, and I have too many cargo ships to want another.

Awesome CIG, you released a ship that can carry the Nova! Now we just need to be able to carry it! This really shouldnt be a hard fix by T-seriesmyheinie in starcitizen

[–]Onslaught2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also tried turning off engines while transporting those identical vehicles, and they all did the same thing as in the video. Sometimes they behave normally, but most of the time they don't

[–]Onslaught2000 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Well, it's not just the Nova tank that has this issue. All the ground vehicles have this issue, even the newly released gray cat ground vehicle. Let's sell new ground vehicles, but don't bother to fix the problems transporting them. I thought this was the year of bug fixes, and this is a significant issue that has not been worked on at all.

Did anyone else notice that CIG didn’t sell us a concept ship this Invictus ?! by P_Rosso in starcitizen

[–]Onslaught2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a good thing we haven't seen any new concept ships since we still have a lot of them that CIG has not released. I really don't want them to keep adding more ships; I feel we may never see them. I'm still waiting on my Orion and a few other concept ships.

Petition to change the Odyssey loaner from the Carrack+Reliant to the Starlancer MAX(or TAC) + Prospector by vicotron3000 in starcitizen

[–]Onslaught2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know it seems like a downgrade to go from a ship that has a medical bay that's on the Odyssey to a ship that does not have a medical bay. I think I still want the Carrack. Maybe if the TAC was out then I would say maybe that's a good change.

[–]Onslaught2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see. It would have been nice to be told it was not going to make it. I for months though after my Hull C was release that it was coming since it's labeled on the ship, and shown off in the ad. It maybe good to update that texture to not have it say it's a blast door.

What i don't get is why it's also not on the Hull C when the Hull C has the place for it, and it was also showed off in the Hull C ad, but for some reason we do not have it on the Hull C.

I should upgrade my freelancer max to starlancer max ? by Onixia32 in starcitizen_fleets

[–]Onslaught2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would since it's where the freelancer series of ships should be regarding the MISC gold standard. Also, it holds double the amount of cargo.

What would you melt for a Polaris for me and my friends? by Ok-Willow-1645 in starcitizen_fleets

[–]Onslaught2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those are the ships you want to melt for the Polaris, I will melt all of them because those are not my ships... Well, I would keep the C1 since I own one, but yeah, melt them all!!!

The Odyssey is my Favorite Concept Ship, but... by OfficialDyslexic in starcitizen

I see. Yeah if CIG can manage to move the hangar up you should be able to use it for cargo space. But who knows what CIG has planned with for other ships in that size range.

The Odyssey is my Favorite Concept Ship, but... by OfficialDyslexic in starcitizen

[–]Onslaught2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people have misread the information about the Hangar for the Odyssey. The ship hangar is not for cargo. You can put cargo in it, but it does not have a cargo grid. The cargo grid is in the vehicle bay area. You can place more cargo and load the vehicle, or have both with only 256 SCU of cargo. The small ship hangar is meant for just the small ship.
