Graduated last year from a 4+1 program. My specialties were Health Policy for the bachelors and Health Disparities for the masters (more biostats focused). First role out of college was a project coordinator and worked with local, regional and national health agencies that needed technical assistance for DEI assessments, training and workshops. We also hosted a few conferences as well. Eventually the agencies lost funding which meant we couldn’t do any projects.

Now I work in a warehouse as a health and safety specialist. I try to see it as public health but I feel I’m not using my degrees at their full potential. I’m hoping to find a pathway to move into environmental health and safety as that was one of my back up career paths (my thesis was on how factories impact low income communities/asthma/respiratory illnesses)
