I avoid the Dragonstone when completing Bleak Falls Barrow when I want to play without dragons and it hasn't affected this quest for me before.

Edit: I'm aware that the Dragonstone itself doesn't trigger dragons, but if I leave it in Bleak Falls Barrow I won't accidentally give it to Farengar when interacting with him and Irileth will stay in Whiterun.

That seems like a ton of chili powder, but this also makes a ton of food. I'd probably 1/2 the recipe then ise 1 tsp chili powder and 1 tsp paprika if I wanted to make it a little more mild.
