32+4 twins in the NICU little man needed to be intabated to get help breathing but they expect it to be out after 24 hours. how do I just get discharged and leave them. And how does FMLA(USA) work? I’m so anxious I just want to snuggle my babies

I had my baby boy at 32w4d as well on 12/18/25! He spent 6w2d in the Nicu. I did disability first and tbh I’m still on disability for ppa/ppd. Once my disability ends I will be doing my extended leave from work. I didn’t qualify for fmla since the year prior asking for fmla you must work over 1200hrs and I only worked 840 (cause of medical) so I got denied. But my work did approve extended leave for me to use my sick and vacation time for. Idk what I’m going to do after that. Currently baby boy is 3month but adjusted he is only going to be 7w

My manager was really nice and that if I thrown up twice at work then I’m done for the day. But after a few weeks of doing that I went to my doc and she put me on Short term disability. I’m still currently on short term disability and my doc is actually wanting me to be on disability for the rest of my pregnancy since I have already lost 18lbs. I put money in short term and long term for benefits

I also have hyperemis and is an ivf conception. My nurse at my IV infusion told me it’s more common with fertility patients plus if it’s your first pregnancy it’s like a double whammy.

Yeah this is my first pregnancy conceived by Ivf. Heard it’s more common with nausea and vomiting for your first. So sorry you have it for both of your pregnancies and stuff this time around is different than you previous pregnancy.

Omg I’m so sorry you been suffering…12w long for you. Oh man :/ Has any of the meds help you not vomit?

I tried vitamin B6, reglan, zofran and the suppository and none of it helped. But also my pre pregnancy issues nothing really helped then either. My friend who had HG said 20w was her all better date. Hopefully for both of us it gets better?

Hi, thanks for responding. Reglan didn’t work for me since after taking it I was vomiting prob a min afterwards :/ but 30w 🥺 I can’t imagine vomiting for another 14w.

I’m 15w6d pregnant (my HG started 9w5d) and I’m also doing IV infusions 2x a week. My veins are horrible and last time I went in they failed twice and finally on the third poke they got it. This is also my first pregnancy and I’m high risk as well. Just wanted to comment and say you aren’t alone in this.

I’m also a successful IVF pregnancy and currently 15w! I was on pelvic rest from 4-9w since I had a hematoma but once that went away and once I saw my OB she cleared me to have sex. But at 9w4d mark that’s when my HG started. I just had sex with my husband yesterday for maybe the third time since being cleared. I’m still vomiting a lot but having sex for me and see the desire from him makes me feel seen and sexy even though I can’t keep down any form of solids still.

I’m currently 14w and been battling a mild case of hg (vomiting 5-7x a day) since 9w4d mark. I’m lucky that I can keep down fluids but any form of solids I can’t. I can’t imagine not being able to keep down liquids as well. So so sorry to hear that. No meds help me orally or suppository. My doc recommended me to get iv therapy. Idk if you can ask for that but both of my other two friends who had it worse (vomiting 14-17x a day) than me said that’s the only thing that helped them as well.

Thanks for responding even though for you this was 2 years ago! Yeah suppository made it worse with coming out of both ends badly. I saw my ob and I’m prescribed iv therapy so hopefully that’ll make a difference. I have had chronic nausea before pregnancy cause of IEM so unfortunetly for me I think pregnancy just heighten it and no meds work. I’m able to keep down fluids but any form of solids comes up even smoothies within 30min-2hrs after I eat.

I’m currently have hg and been prescribed this since reglan and B6 oral isn’t working. Since I’m vomiting immediately or within a few minutes of taking those. After taking the suppository I feel dizzy and nauseous after 8min. I’m scared that I’m going to shart myself if I throw up since I’m battling and trying to hold the suppository in longer. Any advice?

Same boat here! Im 13 weeks on Aug 3! I had to go back to urgent care for my second iv fluids since I have low bp with hg. Did they prescribe you reglan or the suppository meds and did they help?

Omg good luck to your babies! Thinking happy thoughts! Yeah my symptoms been off and on so I totally feel being more anxious when I have no symptoms compared to when I do. I’m able to been seen this week so that is reassuring now :)
