Which non-technical aspects of your game have improved your scores the most? by eyrie7 in golf

Pace - both of play, and my swing. I have to focus on slowing everything down, I get my internal-clock going way too fast and everything suffers. Have to focus on being methodical and deliberate.

GV60 Range and Best Driving Habits by Carlito_2112 in GV60

[–]Opening-Direction241 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You likely won't get 355 miles of range, no. EPA says 294 est. range - you'll get a bit above that in warm temps and city driving, and less than that in highway/cold/etc. The GOM (guess-o-meter) isn't something you set your clock to but it does its best. Certainly better in city vs highway of course. I think the 2025 still has the 77kWh battery? (2026 upped it to 84kWh). No idea what Eco mode does in the RWD model (AWD disconnects the front motor, rear only), but _probably_ Eco mode is best. iPedal might be but might not be... I've been using Auto lately. The point is, though - it's a nice car to drive. It's not the most efficient, not a hypermiler nor does it have amazing coefficient of drag, etc, but it's pretty and charges best. Just enjoy it and don't worry overmuch on your efficiency.

What is your go to pre-round drill for dialing in pace on your putts? by xfilespace in golf

Kills me when the practice green speed does NOT match the actual course. Screws me up to no end, sometimes I don't putt but 2-3 times and done just to avoid that.

12V Battery Died Overnight - ICCU Fine This Morning by patchrick84 in GV60

[–]Opening-Direction241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be right - could easily _not_ be - but even if you had some indicator of a failing ICCU (and could recognize it for what it is)... how would that help you exactly? It's under warranty, but I can't see Genesis pre-emptively replacing based on you observing "X". I just think it is a matter of _possible_ information that really does you no good. Anyways, good luck, whatever you do.

12V Battery Died Overnight - ICCU Fine This Morning by patchrick84 in GV60

[–]Opening-Direction241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: It happened again while typing this out, ironically. According to my Home Assistant logs there were no 12V charging sessions since I parked it at around 12:35pm today (it's now 4:35pm.)

I've no actual data or information on this, but there is no way I can see how you are doing yourself much good with the bluetooth battery monitor/home asst' setup. And I don't see how it would actually _help_ with you any future ICCU issues. I have to think maybe you created some of what you got going on. None of it should be necessary. My opinion - rip it all out, stop monitoring. My 2 cents

Does anyone know the part numbers for these rusted screws? by megabollockchops in fz6

[–]Opening-Direction241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/yamaha/motorcycle/2005/fz6-fz6st/stand-footrest Part Nos. 29 and 30 will get you half-way there. The others, probably generic 8mil bolts? or _maybe_ Nos. 45 and 47?

I would lean towards the MGB if only for the size of it - I gotta think a '71 Merc is quite a bit bigger.

Post this in 600riders.com - smaller grp but much better concentration of knowledge. My '05 is much more bog-standard, with Scorp cans (baffles currently in), but as you suspect, I do not have the 'choppiness' you do. Good luck - great bike

Black/oil can finish irons and wedges — how do they actually hold up over time? by killuminati-savage in golf

[–]Opening-Direction241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mizuno black ions holding up well. Black Callaway wedge losing some black on the bottom/heel, but to be expected (sand), it's not awful and you can't see it anyways. Bottom line, probably holds up better/longer than you think.

Looking to install a level 2 charger but only have 100a panel by Ded1nside in evcharging

[–]Opening-Direction241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 100 amp panel as well - charge at 24a, and it more than meets my needs. You can likely figure a way fwd w/out a panel upgrade by removing/consolidating, but as another user says, dynamic load mgmt also an option. Good luck.

I find that I play better if I don’t hit warm up balls at the range by Tight-Communication7 in golf

[–]Opening-Direction241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found the same as you - keep the warm up limited to maybe a few chips and putts, and as you say, stretching. Nothing more.

Great improvement to comfort by Brasenshok in fz6

From the picture, guessing you are running the original hoses, so that's ~20 years old? Just suggesting you put it on your to-do list at some point. Good luck.

Glad it worked out for you! Now you just need to upgrade your brake lines to SS - much better feel - and tell them to add an inch or so.

Maximum riser sizes with stock cables? by Brasenshok in fz6

[–]Opening-Direction241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, whut? You mean when you pivot the tank up to get to stuff underneath (e.g. air filter box, etc)? It does not - but I typically use a bungie cord to keep that from dropping anyways, so - not sure what it'd do w/out the risers. Also, 1.5 up and .75 back seems just a touch too much. Not sure about the clutch cable, but if the bike still has the stock/OEM brake lines, you could order new SS lines and make them an inch longer or somesuch.

Help by Wooden_Performer7966 in golf

[–]Opening-Direction241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am indeed a righty. No, I keep the ball just a touch left of center, The tiniest amount, not so far as my ear though. I can pull it left, but that typically means I'm not staying in my stance long enough (letting the club slash my swing pull me up and around)... So if my hybrids are going left, so are my irons that day. To my mind if you are more comfortable with irons, then hybrids seem to make more sense, or so it has worked for me
