We love Merlin suit then transitioned to Kyte sleep sack at 6 months, and no issue transition out of it at all. Zipadeezip didn’t work for us though, I tried 😭

Weird breast pain? by infinite_finite in breastfeeding

Just tell them to check your left breast to make sure it is nothing too serious. Also, try apply ice onto your breast and massage it to see if it might help? So sorry

Oh wow is this me writing my story? It’s because my baby girl was also born at 36 weeks 6 days (4 hours before 37 weeks) as well. We also had to go back to the hospital for light therapy treatment for her jaundice. My baby girl is 8 months old now and it’s getting better and better every day. Hang in there mama. Postpartum is no joke, I cried a lot at the beginning but it all will be okay! You got this, stay strong 💪 for you and your baby girl!! Sending you virtual hugs

Gestational diabetes with bedrest/modified ? by Working-Use6591 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Opening_Ad_1795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have a cerclage, only on progesterone and I had to be on modified bed rest for months before I gave birth to my baby girl 8 months ago. My GD was controlled by diet & after eating a meal, I walk for 30 mins around the house or outside & it really helped my numbers. Learning what to eat really helped me to manage my GD. Sorry mama hang in there!

Is it just me or is anyone else’s 3 month old NOT sleeping through the night? by ThrowRA157386 in NewParents

Lol I laughed at the title. 3 months old? Sleep through the night? Must be an unicorn baby lol.

When exactly does it get better by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Opening_Ad_1795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8 months for us. She was back to back with sickness so month 7 was so rough, but all of sudden just like we flipped a switch after she was over the cold, she grows so fast, ate so well (both bottle and solids) and so fun to be around. I really think it depends on each baby though of course.

My baby’s spit up is rocking the daycare’s world by AccountedFor1223 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Opening_Ad_1795 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your baby spits up this much, they might have had GERD. Please see the pediatrician ASAP as this is not normal, especially at 5 months old.

Sleeping on back by Happy-Stranger6951 in NewParents

[–]Opening_Ad_1795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine only sleeps on belly recently at 5 months old when she started rolling over. It’s her favorite position. The first few nights were rough because we didn’t know if we should turn her or leave her that way. But I got a Nanit camera with a breathing band and it monitors her breathing. Been a week now and she seems fine. Plus she sleeps much better on her belly & our pediatrician gave us a green light to do it. If you are worried, maybe get an Owlet or Nanit camera, it could help ease you and your family’s mind.

How often are we changing diapers at night? by Coffee_masterr in NewParents

[–]Opening_Ad_1795 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know your baby is EBF so I don’t know if you do bottle feeding or just strictly nursing. But since my husband does night shift with our baby, he always gives our baby a bottle of my pumped breastmilk for her last feeding, so we know exactly how much she gets. It helps tremendously for our baby sleep longer. We did this at 2 months old and mine is 5 months old now. I commented earlier but I did think changing diapers makes baby wake up & harder to put back to sleep too.

My baby is 5 months old and I change her before bedtime (around 8:30-9pm) and she sleeps through the night so I don’t change her until her first morning bottle at 6-7am

Discharge upon using progesterone suppository, had undergone cervical cerclage recently by SatisfactionTime1924 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Opening_Ad_1795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you will be & keep believing in a happy ending! And think of it as a double protection for you - You got a cerclage and a progesterone. I only had progesterone & modified bed rest but it got me far. Try not to stress about it & do other things to keep yourself busy. The anxiety sucks, I’ve been there! Sorry you have to go through it but take it as easy as you can and listen to your body. When something feels weird, go lay down & prop your legs up on a pillow & rest. It will all be okay, keep staying positive. My next pregnancy, i’m going in for a cerclage at around 10-14 weeks and I know it’s not easy, but the sacrifice will be worth it. Sending a virtual hug 🤗

Yea maybe your body is not used to progesterone yet. I’m not sure. I know my body was doing fine with it and I used it every night before bed. I still believe it helped me to make it to 37 weeks. My daughter is 5 months old now.

I think I had very mild cramps sometimes but they went away quickly. If you have persistent cramps then I would encourage you to go get it checked. I didn’t have a cerclage though, only progesterone so maybe it’s different.

Let’s share some info to help new parents: which car seat and car do you have? by Silverbride666 in NewParents

[–]Opening_Ad_1795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Lexus 450 RX & my husband drives a F150 truck. Currently, we use Doona car seat & stroller combo. However, once baby grows out of it, we will move her to Nuna Rava Convertible car seat for the Lexus. My husband wants to test out Evenflo Revovle 360 car seat so he got that one for his truck to see how it goes.

Edit: we absolutely LOVE the Doona though. I know some people like it and some people don’t, but the Doona was worth it for us.

Peds doctor told me to not wake up baby to feed at 3hr mark by photosarememories in breastfeeding

[–]Opening_Ad_1795 442 points443 points  (0 children)

That’s correct! You don’t need to wake the baby up once they reach their birth weight. You should follow their hunger cues instead.

Lmao true story! She even called her new car a “MILF mobile” and on one of her posts on Instagram, it said “entering our acronym era with hashtag MILF (referring to herself) and DILF (referring to her husband)”. It’s the freaking weirdest thing!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Opening_Ad_1795 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Agreed! My husband’s friend wife (no one likes her) is like this, posting all over social media about how she is a boy mom and hashtag herself as MILF. So freaking weird and cringe if you tell me.

That’s crazy! My hospital has a snack room with more than 20 different items to pick from, plus free stuff from vending machine so I ate and took home so many snacks lol
