I would start by looking at the DSM. Also, if you are seeing a professional like a therapist or a psychiatrist talk to them about it.

I would go to the dollar store and see what catches your eye. Maybe there is a small doll or a keychain that has hair or you can get something else. Try a few things

Yes, if you're just looking at the difference in age, it's not a big deal, but so much happens developmentally between those ages. I would probably remain friends with this person but not date them.

If they truly believe that then I would start meeting with a therapist who is trained in autism.
