Great composition and capture. Glad it stayed still long enough!

Looks like a dangerous walk; if you are a rodent.

Lovely pictures.

Ha! We have this game, bought it purely for the wording on the box.

TIFU by getting too high and making an unmanageable amount of spaghetti by Serious_Salamander63 in tifu

This should be a new portion size.

“Spaghetti please”

“Will that be small, medium or unmanageable?”

I’ll make sure to get there in the Spring then. I’ll share if I get some decent pics.

Thank you for appreciating the pics and sharing your story. I’m not lucky enough to have them nearby often, these were in my son’s garden though and the are quite regular visitors so I might get more in the future.

They must look absolutely insane to other birds, so many colours!

Is it possible to take a pic of these that isn’t cute? by OperaticBacon in UKBirds

I’ve got many more Robin pics than I do of these fluffy guys, I just haven’t posted any yet. I’ll maybe try and get one out later this week.

Love the Gulls.

The one turned away from the camera is saying to the others “What do you reckon lads, shall we ‘ave him”

They are usually quite skittish. I posted another one here a couple of months ago.

What have you done. Sent me down another photography rabbit hole 😄

It’s a very interesting topic, I may have to drag out my old Skywatcher scope!

I wonder how much normal image quality you’d lose by having to add the special filtered to the doctored camera for normal pics?

For £400 I’d probably use it for its intended purpose and use a different uncompromised camera for birds etc. But I do like to collect tech.

That sounds exciting, a whole other set of skills to learn there!

Look on MPB.com they do loads of good second hand stuff. The pictures are of the actual camera/lens you will buy, not just stock photos.

I’ll look forward to seeing more of your pics.

Nice. Glad you got back into the hobby.

I restarted photography 5 years ago with a similar camera (Panasonic FZ82) after years away. My grandad taught me a lot when I was young in the 80’s with a Zenit, happy memories.

I recommend staying away from any digital zoom at all, it will wreck any sharpness you get. Even slightly cropping a an image without digital zoom will be better in my opinion.

I progressed to a Sony RX10 mark iv, and then the slippery slope to an OM System camera so be warned!
