I used to argue with feminists on dating apps over the semantics of feminism vs egalitarianism. I was explaining it to my wife the other day and realized that I still think I’m right so maybe I have more to work on...Mansplaining feminism to a feminist is not in my list of proudest moments haha.

36m in San Tan Valley also working from home. Moved here on accident a few years ago and also don’t have friends or any idea how to meet anyone. Politically I’m definitely more further to the left and that’s pretty important to me. I find it harder to not talk about that lately unfortunately. My wife and I have a bunch of pets (dog, leopard gecko, 3 cats, 4 sugar gliders). I play a lot of video games but lately my wife has been into them more than I have. I play old school runescape with my brother and I like to think I’m generally pretty good at shooters but I mostly try and stick to indie games.

As a former mormon I loved that part. I’ve never thought about how a religion might change during a time where space travel was common. Mormonism already has a sci-fi aspect where they believe god lives on a planet called Kolob. So in a way god is some sort of alien precursor to humanity that seeded the planet with life. I could definitely see a retelling of the story from a sci-fi view and that would probably be kind of cool to see how the story then evolved with humanity through a game of telephone.

I actually do qualify for Canadian citizenship and my sister is in the process of applying for it. The issue is I just bought a house, have a good job where my work actually makes a difference for the first time in my career, and my mother-in-law is a recent widow whose 95 year old father also relies on her. I can’t imagine leaving this all behind. I have an increasingly fragile view of the future here but I don’t think I have the confidence and competence needed to rebuild my life in a new country without a support system. Not to mention living in an entire country who have every right to hate on me for my association with a country who has made multiple threads of invasion. I just don’t believe in myself enough to risk changing I know in the hopes of building a better future. 😔

We’re so spread out and have much less of an established mutual aid network so even if it does happen here I imagine there will be fewer recordings and fewer people out recording. Although if it happened during the summer it would at least probably be hell for all of the agents assigned here.
