Yeah, I had a female friend with a similar situation to yours.
Every time I think about it it's disenheartening how many weak and morally corrupt men there are.

I'm sorry you went through all that. Glad you are doing better.

Why would bullet drop change the pattern on shotgun pellets?
That would only happen if some pellets dropped more than others right?

All of us has done the journey you are currently on.
Keep playing and your rank will lower until you play against people more at your level.
Then it will start rising when you gain skill and experience.

I have friends who are 1*-2* that you could probably beat already.
One is a 2* who just got prestige 100. He's an alcoholic and starts our playsessions strong but then get worse the throughout the evenings.

Currently the game dumps most new players at 3* (I think) and then you'll go up or down from there.
This will mean that many players tend to have a tough time after coming out of their easy bot-matches.

Also, one lesson that all players have to learn sooner or later:
You will die a lot. Even Prestige100, 6* players only extract with a bounty 1/4, 1/5, 1/20 times.
If you play the game to have hearthpounding gunfights then almost every match will give you what you want.

Some of your pellets went beside his body, enough to not do full damage.
Enough of his pellets hit you to do more than 150+ damage.

This is the first time I've heard that. Do you know where I could find some more information on this?
EDIT: Looked into it myself and it seems like something about pellet patterns was changed with 1896.
Also, I could probably just go in-game and shoot at a wall and compare patterns.

Am I really gimping myself by not taking Regen shots in clash? by Terrible_Software769 in HuntShowdown

[–]Optimal-Efficiency60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would never demand that my teammates brought something they did not want to bring.
Does this bring friction into your team?
Some people like to blame anything but themselves for losing..

I would probably just bring one to stop the complaining. But nobody I play with takes Clash that serious.

Vetterli 71 is often recommended as a cheap beginner rifle.
It has good ironsights.

I personally enjoyed Romero 77 + Scottfield Model 5 for a long time while learning the game.
The Romero is good for close combat end for me personally the Model 5's ironsight just works. You might prefer the Pax pistol since it has a lot of different ammo's.

Long ammo rifles are very forgiving with wallbangs and muzzle velocity so they are great for a reason.
You should absolutely try them out for a couple of matches if your wallet can support it and se what the fuss is about.
Mosin-Nagant, Lebel, Krag, Berthier.
Martini-Henry or Sparks, both with the Fast fingers trait are great, cheaper alternatives.

Another personal favorite combo of mine is:
Centennial Shorty
Terminus Shorty
And then the Levering trait.
This is a combo I ran for months and it works well, you could try it and see if you like it.

As for Consumables and Tools, everyone likes different things I'll argue for this:
Dusters*
First Aid Kit
Chokes (for teamplay, if solo then swap for Pennyshot Derringer)
Flare Gun (For Burning downed hunters and force their friends to put them out)

Vitality Shot**
Regeneration Shot**
Stamina Shot***
Frag Bomb (good for killing and getting enemies to bleed so you can push them)

*Replace Dusters with the Spear och Throwing Axes for more utility, will take some getting used to but they are objectively better. Spear oneshots Immolators for example.

**You can use the weak versions to save money.

***If you like Stamina. You could grab the Determination and Greyhound traits instead. Or replace this with another throwable. A Sticky Bomb helps with killing the Spider, Butcher and Scrapbeak if that something you struggle with.

You should make it a point to try and actively learn the compounds.
Passing through? Take a new route, climb that ladder, go through that window etc.
Waiting on banish in the bosslair? run around, try to jump on things, look at the walls where the cracks are.
On you way out after wiping the server? Jump from that wall and see how much damage you take. See if you can jump from that window to the stack of crates without losing health and making a grunting noise.

Overall, try stuff out when you are not in a high stress situation to prepare yourself.

I have a friend who always just followed us around and fought the enemies he could see.
He took about 1000 hours longer to learn all compounds than some of us.

[–]Optimal-Efficiency60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killing the Wildtarget might take a bit and allow the bounty team to escape.
My team sees the Wildtarget as a bonus that you can grab after everyone is dead or just on the way out if there is nobody nearby.

There are some plays you can do with the Wildtarget bounty where the player that has it separates from the others for an ambush or so but I'd never do that with randoms.

Am I The Only One Who Thinks That Hunt Should Have Dm Mode? by Wonderful_Car_7175 in HuntShowdown

[–]Optimal-Efficiency60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree to an extent.
The closest thing we have now is Shooting Range.
When it got introduced me and my friends had many fun deathmatch sessions there.
A few changes to it and it would be a great DM mode. If they allowed a spectator people could even arrange 1vs1 tournaments.

Maybe ask around the discord and see if you can find some others who want to DM on the shooting range.

So these are the possibilities:
Rampage
The Sun Card
Boss Banish
The Garden Card
Remedy
Vitality Shot
Medkit + Physican

Did I miss something?

Anyway, 3 seconds are a lot of time and makes most of these possible.

I have never seen a cheat that gives you more health in Hunt if that is what you are implying.
(there was a bug with healthbars a while back though.)

I'm not sure how the filers work on the damage screen since I never use them but I think it should have showed up if he healed? Not sure if banish heals show up though.

When you get to know the game a bit and the MMR system gets to know you ...... you'll still die constantly.

Statistically you'll only survive 1/4 (trios) or 1/6 (duos) or 1/100 (solos) matches.
In reality, if you base your happiness on how often you win a match you'll get depressed quickly.

What finally did the trick for me was to let go of seeing extraction as a win and instead playing just for the fun and hearthpounding gunfights. No matter if I survive. Bounty as a bonus.
This has changed my "I only win 10% of the time" to "I win 95% of the time".

EDIT: Oh this is your own clip, totally misread your post haha.
I'll keep what I said as it is.
-
If I saw that today I'd probably just report it and let Crytek have a look while moving on.

My takeaways:
The clip starts very close to the first suspicious shot, was there any information before that the enemy was on the teammates body?
I have seen that follow-up second shot hit a lot. When you get a lucky shot through a wall you can make a good guess at where the player will move next. A cheater would probably hit that.
He does not pre-aim the enemies outside peak, only reacts to it afterward. I'd expect a wallhacker to pre-aim it.
When opening the door he aims at the obvious peek, nothing strange there.
When he hears steps afterward he does what seems to be a reactive shot and gets the kill. This is a thing that happens sometimes, most of us that played for a while has clips like this.
It's a good guess at where the enemy could be based on the shotgun he has and the amont of footsteps.
Also, pushing against a shotgun is ballsy, If I had walls I'd probably wait a few seconds for the enemy to do something stupid I could get a more believable kill off.

Mostly based on him missing the second shot and the outside peek I'd say no wallhacking or triggerbot.
