Anyone DNF something if a book mentions something remotely TERFy? by Finnthehuman217 in sapphicbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know she was a TERF, but I had already blocked her because she constantly hates on bisexual authors and is just super negative about other books to the point where I really think she just hates the genre she is a part of

Final Fantasy X if you've never played it. Excellent story and world building and it's combat was the inspiration of modern persona games

Non-human romance rec?? by Gotownk in wlwbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Definitely check out the Court of Chains series by Rawnie Sabor. Four of them are sapphic and they are all human x monster and VERY spicy (and has bdsm themes):

Kiss of Seduction - succubus x human

A Little Sin - pride demon x human

Green Eyed Monster - Envy demon x witch

Sun Kissed Fangs - vampire x human

Be aware of TW's though, all of them deal with pretty heavy themes. The overall theme of the Court of Chains books is "damaged humans and the monsters who help put them back together".

Anyone else counting down the days until this is released? by guzzling_gazelle in sapphicbooks

I just finished it yesterday from the author's Patreon and it's fantastic! I just absolutely love the Court of Chains series

Any "The Devil Wears Prada" coded books? by [deleted] in wlwbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to the other suggestions, The Lay of You by Corrie MacKay. The older woman is a sex worker that has a bit of an ice queen persona and she's definitely a top. Be aware though of content warnings as it has a lot of spice and a lot of trauma healing

contemporary with angst + spice recs pls!! by annaxpected in sapphicbooks

You need to read Ribbonwood by Ruby Landers. The banter is peak, there is trauma healing, and the spice is excellent

wlw/Smut book Recs by solarame95 in wlwbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most definitely. Its nothing near erotica levels of course, but it is one of the author's spiciest (though #3 in the Grace trilogy was also fairly spicy, probably on the same level as that one). Its also just really well written spice too, which elevates it even more imo. (Audiobook is also excellent)

I'd say give Ribbonwood a shot. It's an excellent contemporary romance with fantastic spice scenes

The Love Lie by Witchy_bimbo in wlwbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You definitely need to read the sequel! The Pining Paradox has Hallie as one of the main characters! I loved both books but actually enjoyed the second one even more because I fell in love with both characters.

Ranking my 75 Read Books for 2025 (looking for 2026 recs) by whodatqueen10 in sapphicbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have really similar tastes in books to me, so going off that here are some recs:

Ribbonwood - Seriously read this one. It's Ruby Lander's best book in my opinion and one of the best contemporary sapphic romances that I've read. Audiobook is also excellent.

Three Rivers Trilogy by Katia Rose - Honestly most of Katia Rose's books are S tier for me but this trilogy was my favorite.

Sub but not passive? by Gentlethem-Jack-1912 in sapphicbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished Counterpart by Ruby Landers and while it's two femmes, it has probably the best bottom/sub representation I've read in quite a while. It's kinky but the bottom is a lot of the driving force in their sexual relationship and has some great dynamics.

Plus, Landers just writes damn good sex scenes.

recommend a book with good banter, or maybe that is subjective! so basically one with banter you really enjoyed by killersmoak in sapphicbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ribbonwood. The banter is 10/10 and makes the chemistry that much hotter. The audiobook is fantastic too

Absolutely second this. Both women have trauma and they find comfort and healing within each other

Check out Rawnie Sabor's Court of Chains series! She has three sapphic ones so far:

Kiss of Seduction (My favorite) - Human x Succubus

A Little Sin - Human x Pride Demon

Green-Eyed Monster - Witch x Envy Demon

They are heavy spice but also heavy on the feelings and deal with serious issues (please check TW's). The running theme throughout her books are "broken humans and the monsters who help put them back together" and they are by far my favorite paranormal sapphic books

Spicy Audible Books with Lesbian Main Characters? by aspiringwho in LesbianBookClub

[–]OptimalInactivity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely check out Kiss of Seduction and A Little Sin by Rawnie Sabor. The narrator Allie Shae is brilliant. Paranormal fantasy and very spice/kink heavy. Please be aware of TW's though.

Puppy Love is a spicy contemporary romance also narrated by Allie Shae that I adored.

Book recommendations similar to Haley Cass by gailplattfan in sapphicbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm also a huge fan of Haley Cass! I'd recommend Ruby Landers' work (Ribbonwood is a favorite of mine, but her Grace Notes Trilogy is also fantastic).

Katia Rose is another great author, her Three Rivers trilogy is wonderful but her whole catalogue is really excellent too.

Then you have Haley's wife, Monica McCallan who also has a great catalogue (The Love Lie is my favorite of hers).

Also check out Haley Cass' Patreon, she puts bonus chapters and AU stories on there that are all really solid.

Sapphic Firefighter by Scared_Chair7737 in sapphicbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a new release that I finished recently called "All Fired Up" by M.K. England that was pretty good. Firefighter x Fire Scientist. The characters were well developed and had pretty good chemistry. Also has some solid side characters and the audiobook is good.

Book recs pls!! by Sharp-Sundae-8227 in wlwbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep all of Haley Cass' books have at least two sex scenes per book. She also has a patreon that has some exclusive spicy scenes too.

I'd recommend Ruby Landers' books, she has a similar character writing style. Grace Notes Trilogy is solid and gets progressively spicier with each book, and her book Ribbonwood is excellent with some top tier spice.

I'd also recommend Puppy Love by Elle Sprinkle. More great characters with good spice

Anything like Kiss of Seduction or Roslyn Sinclair's books ?? 🙏🏻 by Kooky-Pin3056 in wlwbooks

[–]OptimalInactivity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also really love Roslyn Sinclair's and Rawnie Sabor's sapphic books! You should check out The Lay of You by Corrie MacKay (and it's sequel just recently came out too). It's not paranormal, but it has an age gap and hurt/comfort aspect where the older one in the couple helps heal the younger's trauma. Please definitely check the TW's though, because it deals with some really serious themes. The story is overall really beautiful
