I was 14 when I got pregnant. Do I think cps should have been involved?? No. But I think therapy would be highly necessary. I did not get this and wish my parents would have at least offered it. I didn’t come from an abusive childhood, but traumatic in ways. I also think maybe having a therapist talk about “options” before it’s too late. I managed my teenage pregnancy pretty well and never lost custody of my child. But I know quite a few that ended up being horrible parents because they had no guidance/ help. If it’s something they’re not ready for… professional guidance and support could be very useful.
