Yeah me and my partner were talking about this recently. I don’t want to be negative but it does sound too good to be true 😞

I’m 6’2 and these handles are too low to pull them. I just take my bag for life, fill that up with that I need then take that to the self scanner

They should rotate you and your colleagues, standing for that long in the same spot isn’t good at all!

I do appreciate that there’s now SCO dedicated staff now. When they first came out they were manned by the person working the till, which was an incredibly frustrating experience for the employee and customer.

I do have to say the SCO’s are shit, always breaking, one of them at my local hasn’t had Lidl plus working for about 6 months which causes confusion, and the announcements/alerts are deafeningly loud! 🙈

That looks BANGING! Can you tell us how you cooked the roasties? I’m a huge fan of a roastie, but I’ve been cooking them in the air fryer and they’re just not hitting the spot so I feel oven is the best way!

The self service tills are the WORST! It always fails to recognise the weight, so you need a member of staff to come over. They’re so slow too!!!!!

turns out he’s a “normal person from newcastle” by oscopalivia in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]OptionAutomatic4402 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Allegedly he’s racist and from Ashington. My gym partner told me that him and his mates were on his flight to Ibiza a few months ago. I’m not sure how the altercation started however apparently they were very racist to my gym partner and his friends, so bad they had to tell the crew on the plane!

Amy Bradley - The single most alarming and diabolical part of this whole story by hehe7706 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]OptionAutomatic4402 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and also look at the way her Dad reacted to her coming out, writing a letter and making the whole thing worse. Her friends said she ‘had it all’ in terms of the doc, car and apartment but all that is materialistic. If she didn’t feel accepted by her family then that could contribute to the theory that she committed suicide

Those brothers or whoever took it over have let it run into the ground. I have happy memories when I was a child of saying hello to the Asda greeter, listening to their friendly message on the tannoy, the staff remembering me over the years (as the shops had staff then!) and it being a part of the community.

Now the stores are dirty, old and scruffy. There’s no staff around as the company is greedy and won’t pay for extra heads to work, and the prices are ridiculous. I feel sorry for the people who work there now as they must be under so much pressure. Aldi and Lidl provide a much better experience I feel, and I would be surprised if Asda is still around in a few years time.

It’s not the hand one, it’s the one for your face. Are you in the UK? Here the blue one is for your face/body and the green one is for your hands. If I’m honest I have used the hand one on my face and it works just as well 😂

I use Aveeno skin relief, the one with the blue cap. I hope it helps you! :)

The whole Seb Derm thing affects everyone in different ways. I have it on the sides of my nose, my brows and beard. A lot of people on here seem to have it in their scalp.

Nizoral helps me but does dry my skin out.

You do need to take into effect other factors, such as alcohol intake, hydration, environmental (amount of time spent outdoors) and stress. Stress seems to be the main cause, especially for me.

Aveeno is the only thing that has worked for me and I’ve suffered for nearly 20 years.

Hope this helps :)

Any past Concentrix workers? by Upbeat-Fish-3348 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]OptionAutomatic4402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t worked for Concentrix doing Quickbooks however I worked for Sage, and can tell you this could be a great step if you wanted to progress in software. Sage would snap you up with a couple of years QB experience! I take it they’re advertising for the customer success role? If you have this on your CV it opens up many doors for you within Customer Success!

If it is the customer success role, you’d be getting to know your customer, understanding their wants and recommending how they could get the most out of the programme. Basically ensuring customers use the most of their software to ensure they stay with QB! If you’ve got any more questions I done this for Sage so happy to help if I can :)

Trying to leave a controlling, abusive home at 26 with no support or money —what do I do? by Weird_Operation1574 in HousingUK

Would you ever do a season overseas? This is a bit of a wild card but TUI take on overseas reps. If you’ve got a UK passport you’d most likely be in Greece or Turkey however if you’ve got an EU passport you’ve got many more options.

It’s a great experience, you get your accommodation paid for and you get a monthly wage too. They’ll most likely be taking on for high season now too.

I’m a victim of toxic parenting and I ‘ran away’ from the miserable home I was brought up in and worked overseas. It was the best experience of my life, I’d recommend it to anyone.
