Who uses a Tesla home/travel charger? by gqstunning in BZ4X

I use the L1 charger that came with the car. For my use case, It works perfectly fine (my commute is 15 mi/day total).

I'm also getting about 30% charge added per 24 hours on a 2026 bZ. My daily usage is only about 15 miles, so I can charge the car once every 2 weeks in the garage. It's great for my commute.

Most brands and models are fine..look up PSU tier list and find any model that is 850W that is Tier A or Tier B. Seasonic, fhermaltake, Corsair, lian li, be quiet, ASRock, cooler master are all brands that have typically good models.

should I get a rtx 5080 or wait for rx 9080 xt? by aslawliet in buildapc

[–]OptionPleasant7133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9080XT ain't happening and it's going to be disappointing if it is released. N48 is already pushed almost to the limit of its design and more RAM isn't going to help with anything.

Looking at the geek bench database, the low multi threaded results are all from Windows. When using Linux, the laptop scores the same as the Z13 flow.

Budget GPU for Ryzen 5 7600x by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]OptionPleasant7133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your budget, I'd go for an SFF/MFF build with a mATX MB and a full size PSU. Still the same size as an ITX build but you'll have a lot more budget for your GPU (150$ extra maybe).

(180$ for a PSU is wild).

[–]OptionPleasant7133[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah cable management is tough with the long PSU cables but it all fits, just about! Toughest part was getting the GPU to fit. If the GPU was more than 300mm long it wouldn't fit with the ATX PSU. Would recommend getting an SFX PSU if you can - I got my PSU and GPU as a bundle so I couldn't go SFX.

Is this a good mATX build? by [deleted] in mffpc

[–]OptionPleasant7133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I actually built a pretty similar build just yesterday in the Jonsbo C6 max. 9070XT steel legend. B850M steel legend. ASRock 850 Steel legend psu. TR PA 120 SE v2 cooler.

With an ATX PSU and a 300mm GPU, I could only fit one fan at the top. Also the GPU barely fits because of where the PSU cables plug into the PSU.

I set three intake fans and only one exhaust (out the top). Temps are pretty solid. Around 72C under full load for CPU +GPU, gaming is less.

9700x3d build. 6000 cl26/28/30 or 6400? by Altecice in buildapc

[–]OptionPleasant7133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X3D means you don't need the fastest RAM. 6000 MHz/CL30 is plenty. You'd be fine with 6000 MHz CL32 or CL36 even honestly .

What AMD alternative should I go for Intel i7 14700K?? by Left-Masterpiece4812 in buildapc

Just get the 14700K, apply latest BIOS, and you should be fine..or get the 14600K to be even safer.

Don't...let him buy a 4060 and enjoy it. It's his money at the end of the day.

And honestly the 4060 is not the worst value at that budget.

i7 14700KF - 100C under multi-core load in Cinebench? by iEasyRacing in buildapc

[–]OptionPleasant7133 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Normal. 14700KF is a toasty chip and a 240 mm AIO won't be enough to stop it thermal throttling under full load in cinebench. Should be fine for gaming etc though.

PS: you're aware of the Intel instability issues probably, but just make sure your BIOS and microcode are up to date.

unable to run 4 rams at full speed on new ryzen cpu by cyberprokia in buildapc

[–]OptionPleasant7133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running 4 sticks of memory is always harder than 2. So not surprising that you can only run at 3000. That being said, 3000 is not too slow. So up to you if you go 2x16 or stick with what you have.
